We are looking for a strong and passionate senior-level developer who not only has extensive knowledge of the Shopify platform but who is also intimately familiar with object oriented PHP (Specifically Laravel) best practices and design patterns.

You will work directly with the founders, especially the CTO to help build and maintain a rapidly expanding product.

The perfect candidate has a strong architectural background working with open source languages (specifically PHP/Laravel) in an ecommerce environment.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain current Shopify theme and work in tandem with CTO to build out new features for the website
• Maintain and develop custom admin (Laravel) that powers the Shopify theme/store

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

• A positive attitude
• 4+ Years PHP experience
• Experience with Laravel framework from project start to finish
• Intermediate to Advanced front end development knowledge, including Liquid,  modern HTML5, CSS3, and experience in at least one Javascript framework (Knockout, VueJS, React, Angular, Ember)
• Masterful understanding of unit testing, version control (Git / Github), and front end integration
• Experience with AWS (RDS, SDS, EC2, S3, CloudFront)
• Strong architectural and implementation experience with Relational Databases (MySQL etc)
• Skilled in interpreting and implementing APIs from a variety of sources online, including Payment Gateways and ESPs (Klaviyo, Campaign Monitor, Mail Chimp)
• Team leadership experience (including hiring and managing)
