Official Dungeon Crawler Carl merch is sold in the author's Official Store and by licensed makers such as Foam Brain, Kingdom of Threads, Maeve Chocolate, Ink Games and Playmates Toys. RIPT's fan-made shirts are original art by independent artists and are not official licensed merchandise. Prices below were checked on 27 October 2026.
Author Matt Dinniman links that store and a short list of partners from his own site, so that list is the best place to start. This guide covers what each official seller makes, from Dungeon Crawler Carl shirts to figures and puzzles, what it costs, what is in stock, how to check that a seller is official, and where fan-made shirts fit in.

How to check whether Dungeon Crawler Carl merch is official
The word "official" proves nothing on its own, because any shop can put it in a page title. Some shops put "official" in a page title without naming a licensor. Run this test instead.
- Is the seller on the author's list? Dinniman's site links one Official Store, then Maeve Chocolate, Foam Brain, Kingdom of Threads and Hot Topic, and its shop menu adds Ink Games and signed books. It links no merch marketplaces such as Etsy or TeePublic, and its only Amazon link is for the graphic novel. The list is a starting point, not a full directory, so a store that is not on it may still be a licensed retailer. Check the maker and the license line too.
- Does the page name a licensor? Real sellers usually do, though a copied line proves nothing on its own. The Official Store footer reads "© 2026 Dungeon Crawler Carl," Maeve credits "Matt Dinniman and TM Veriluxx, LLC," and Ink Games, Foam Brain and Kingdom of Threads label their collections "officially licensed."
- Know the odd cases. Playmates sells its figures under the in-book company name Borant Corporation, and SlashFilm's review saw no Playmates logo on the box. Boxes carry the Borant name instead of Playmates, so buy from the stockists the author names.
- Ignore a matching design name. Design names repeat across official and unofficial listings, so a familiar name proves nothing.
We found no public statement from the author or the publisher about fan-made merch, so we do not claim one. What we can say is what each seller says about itself, and that is what the test above reads.
Official Dungeon Crawler Carl shirts and apparel
The Official Store runs on Threadless and sells in US dollars, euros and pounds, with a Rest of World option. Its men's tee comes in three fits: Extra Soft at $24.95, Comfort Colors at $34.95 and Premium at $35.95. The Extra Soft tee runs from Small to 3X-Large. Women's and kids' tees start at $22.95, pullover hoodies at $47.95 and sweatshirts at $44.95. Twenty men's tee designs were listed on 27 October, all in the $24.95 Extra Soft fit, including a Book 8 tee for A Parade of Horribles.
Hot Topic is the other shirt seller on the author's list. His site links Hot Topic's licensed Dungeon Crawler Carl listings, and Hot Topic is one of the stores he names for the Playmates figures. Its licensed Dungeon Crawler Carl page listed 37 items on 27 October, including tees at $24.90 to $28.90 before discounts, six-inch figures at $39.90 and a Princess Donut loot box at $17.90. Sale prices change, so check the listing before you buy.
One more official shirt sits behind a paywall. The author's Patreon top tier, Dungeon God, costs $30 a month and includes an exclusive tee, a tote and a signed book. His FAQ says it is temporarily sold out.
Figures, games, comics and other official items
Playmates figures and loot boxes
Playmates Toys makes the six-inch Collectible Crawlers (Carl with Donut, Mordecai and Prepotente), Dungeon Highlight statues and Princess Donut loot boxes that each hide a mystery figure. The author names Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million, Urban Outfitters, Hot Topic, Box Lunch and Five Below as stockists and says stores fill up gradually. SlashFilm's first look liked the packaging and called the action figure solid, but found the face sculpt a little disappointing and the paint short on detail. It rated the haul a Platinum Loot Box, below its Legendary and Celestial tiers.
Ink Games puzzles, lamp and lunch box
Ink Games Publishing lists seven licensed items made with the author: a 3D wooden puzzle lamp ($39.00), a Princess Donut wooden puzzle ($35.00, 500 pieces), a Boss Battle lenticular puzzle ($29.00, 500 pieces), a retro tin lunch box ($24.99), lenticular playing cards ($19.99), a Book Nook Kit ($59.99) and a 629-piece Mongo brick set ($69.00). Nerdist covered the limited-time preorder in August. All seven were still listed on 27 October. The Book Nook Kit, the Mongo set and the Boss Battle puzzle were preorders with an estimated 60 to 90 days of production.
Pins, stickers and chocolate
Foam Brain sells enamel pins at $12 each (one is $18), a 12-pack of its Adventurer's Pin Loot Box at $144 and a $50 2026 Mini-Pin Advent Calendar. Kingdom of Threads has 27 items, from a $3.00 bookmark to a $21.99 book sleeve, including stickers at $3.50 and keychains at $7.99. Maeve Chocolate's Dungeon Crawler Carl range is two $8 truffle bars, Virgin Dirty Shirley and Sweet Pota-toe Chips, a $23 Benefactor Bonbon Box and a $60 Station Mimic Gift Set.
Tabletop game, pinball and signed books
Renegade Game Studios is publishing the licensed Dungeon Crawler Carl roleplaying game and the Unstoppable deck-builder. The BackerKit campaign raised more than $13.2 million from 55,972 backers and ended on 19 May 2026, with shipping estimated by 31 October 2026. A pinball machine from Multimorphic opened for preorders on 27 July 2026, and the author's post gives no price. The limited-edition hardcovers of books 2 and 3 raised more than $3.2 million on Kickstarter. The author's site also links signed books through Invitation Bookshop.
Comics
The series has a Webtoon adaptation that is free to start and rated Mature (18+). Vault Comics collects it in graphic novels, with volume 1 out in May 2026 and volume 2 in early October 2026, according to ICv2.

Fan-made Dungeon Crawler Carl shirts from RIPT
Fan-made shirts are original art by independent artists, inspired by the books. RIPT's Dungeon Crawler Carl collection holds more than 70 designs of fan-made Dungeon Crawler Carl apparel, and its page says plainly that they are independent-artist originals, not official licensed merchandise. Each design page names the artist, and RIPT says every sale earns that artist a royalty. What you get that the licensed line does not offer is variety: parody posters, comic covers, quote shirts and video-game homages.
RIPT's men's tee runs $22.95 to $28.95 and its premium men's tee $24.95 to $28.95. The Official Store's Extra Soft tee is $24.95, and its Comfort Colors and Premium fits are $34.95 and $35.95. The blanks and fabrics differ, so compare the garment as well as the price. Here are seven that were in stock:
- Carl and the Princess by kg07 shows Carl in heart-print boxers and Princess Donut crossing a log over a creek, drawn like a comic strip.
- Chatte Donut by DemonigoteShirts is a French cabaret-style poster for "Tournée de la Chatte Donut," with Donut in a red tiara and round glasses and "Carl le Crawler" along the bottom.
- Not An Indoor Spell, also by kg07, is a round badge of Donut in a crown and purple sunglasses, ringed by flames and the words "Fireball is not an indoor spell."
- Dungeon Crawler Fish News by studiomootant puts a fish in a space helmet on a retro TV news screen, with a caption about a man in his underpants who explodes everything and runs away.
- Super Dungeon Crawler, also by studiomootant, sets "Super Crawler Bros." lettering over a caped Carl in boxers, with Donut at his side.
- Carl Crawler's Whiskey by NMdesign is a whiskey-bottle label with "Rev-Up" and "Toilet-Grade Whiskey" lettering and the line "Distilled and bottled by The Borant Corporation."
- The Adventures of Carl and Donut, also by NMdesign, is an adventure-comic cover with Carl and Donut running in front of a big yellow circle.

Want a Carl tee that looks nothing like the official ones? Try Chatte Donut for the cabaret-poster look or Super Dungeon Crawler for a video-game homage, then work through the rest of the collection. All seven also come as tank tops and zip-up hoodies.
Official or fan-made: which should you buy?
Buy official if you want the licensed art, or things shirt makers do not offer, such as figures, puzzles, lamps and chocolate. Buy fan-made if you like inside jokes, more variety, or a poster or comic look the licensed tees do not have. You can also mix the two: a fan-made tee is an easy add-on to an official gift. If the dungeon mood matters more to you than the series itself, RIPT's fantasy graphic tees, video game graphic tees and nerd graphic tees cover more of it.
RIPT sizes, prices and shipping
- Prices: on the seven designs above, the men's tee runs $22.95 to $28.95 depending on size, the women's tee $22.95 to $25.95, the premium men's tee $24.95 to $28.95 and the youth tee $17.95. Tank tops run $24.95 to $26.95, crew neck sweatshirts $29.95 to $34.95 and zip-up hoodies $41.95 to $46.95. Each design page lists the styles it comes in.
- Sizes: the men's tee goes from S to 6XL and the premium men's tee from S to 4XL. The size chart says the premium tees run small, so size up if you are between sizes. For more on cuts and fabrics, see how to choose a graphic tee.
- Fit: RIPT's product FAQ says the women's tees are women's fit shirts, not traditional unisex tees.
- Shipping: almost all apparel orders ship within 5 to 7 business days, and delivery time comes on top of that. It can take longer if a vendor is delayed. Design pages list shipping from $5.49 and free shipping over $69. See shipping and returns.
- Returns: new, unworn and unwashed items within 30 days of delivery. RIPT does not pay return shipping. If RIPT made the mistake, such as the wrong size, the wrong color or a misprint, you do not need to send it back: email photos and RIPT reships it.
New to Dungeon Crawler Carl? Start here
Dungeon Crawler Carl is a LitRPG series by Matt Dinniman. A Coast Guard veteran named Carl and his ex-girlfriend's show cat, Princess Donut, try to survive after Earth becomes the set of an alien game show played in a deadly dungeon. Donut can suddenly talk, and she later gains a pet velociraptor named Mongo. LitRPG, in the author's words, means stories that use game mechanics such as stats, levels and health bars. Borant Corporation is the alien company that runs the dungeon in the books, and Playmates sells its figures under that name.
The eight novels so far, in reading order, are Dungeon Crawler Carl, Carl's Doomsday Scenario, The Dungeon Anarchist's Cookbook, The Gate of the Feral Gods, The Butcher's Masquerade, The Eye of the Bedlam Bride, This Inevitable Ruin and A Parade of Horribles. The last came out on 12 May 2026. Jeff Hays narrates the audiobooks, and the Ace print editions carry a bonus novella, "Backstage at the Pineapple Cabaret." SlashFilm reports the first eight books had sold more than 14 million copies as of July 2026. Peacock ordered a live-action series in mid-June 2026, and TheWrap names Chris Yost and Eric Heisserer as co-showrunners. No premiere date has been announced.
Frequently asked questions
Is there official Dungeon Crawler Carl merch?
Yes. Official Dungeon Crawler Carl merchandise comes from several makers. Author Matt Dinniman's website links an Official Store at dungeoncrawlercarlmerch.com and licensed partners including Foam Brain, Kingdom of Threads, Maeve Chocolate and Hot Topic. Ink Games and Playmates Toys also make licensed products, from puzzles and a lamp to figures and loot boxes.
Where is the official Dungeon Crawler Carl merch store?
At dungeoncrawlercarlmerch.com, which the author's website labels "Official Store." It runs on Threadless and sells in US dollars, euros and pounds, with a Rest of World option.
How much are official Dungeon Crawler Carl shirts?
On 27 October 2026, a men's tee in the Official Store was $24.95 in the Extra Soft fit, $34.95 in Comfort Colors and $35.95 in Premium. Women's and kids' tees start at $22.95.
How can I tell if Dungeon Crawler Carl merch is official?
Start with Matt Dinniman's own list of stores. A seller that is not on the list may still be a licensed retailer, so also look for the maker's name and a license or copyright line that names the author or the property. Some shops call themselves "official" and name no licensor, so the word alone proves nothing.
Are fan-made Dungeon Crawler Carl shirts official?
No. RIPT's fan-made shirts are original art by independent artists and are not licensed merchandise. RIPT's collection page says the same.
Who makes the Dungeon Crawler Carl action figures?
Playmates Toys, sold under the in-book name Borant Corporation. The first wave of six-inch figures is Carl with Donut, Mordecai and Prepotente, and stores are stocking them gradually.
Is there a Dungeon Crawler Carl TV show?
Not yet. Peacock ordered a live-action series in mid-June 2026, with Chris Yost and Eric Heisserer as co-showrunners, and no premiere date has been announced.
Which Dungeon Crawler Carl book should I read first?
Start with Dungeon Crawler Carl, the first of eight novels. Book 8, A Parade of Horribles, came out on 12 May 2026.
Is there a Dungeon Crawler Carl comic?
Yes. A Webtoon adaptation is free to start, and Vault Comics collects it in graphic novels, with volume 1 out in May 2026 and volume 2 in early October 2026.
