I am 43 years old and work in IT and love anything to do with retro video games from the 80’s and Dr Who. As a hobby I try to be creative with Photoshow and Illustrator and hope it is good enough that that people like and buy my work. This design subtly mashes the UK Union Jack flag with the awesome and instantly recognizable Dalek shape.

Hey there, my name is Ron. I'm from London, Ontario, Canada and I'm an artist. During the day and sometimes into the night, I am a lead artist at a video game developer. I had a great set of parents who encouraged me to follow my love of drawing into a career. This tshirt was inspired by my love of music and all those mixtapes I made growing up and still do, sadly though, they are now just playlists on my ipod. It's just not the same.

JA: Please tell us about your art: Entitled "Bite Me". These are random animals all in their bite positions. :) JA: Before starting a new design, what’s the most important thing for an artist to consider? Its is always the idea/concept to think of. Then, how will you execute it is the next step. Most importantly, is TIME to do the personal design/art work. Its very hard to have that time when you have a day job designing stuff for the company. JA: Do your designs start with pencil on paper or straight on the computer? I've been doing a lot of designs lately straight up from the computer. I use a pen tablet and its okay in doing sketches, plus it saves time. I know people who do scans from paper then go along from there. I still do hand drawings on paper from time to time when there is no computer around when I an idea strikes me. JA: How do you know when a design is finished? When you feel satisfied on your artwork. That moment. Sometimes, when you leave the work you did, you'll always think of something you might want to change, add, or remove. So its a never ending process unless you feel its a go, then I finalize the design I make.   JA: Where do you go for inspiration? I go outside and see stuff everywhere. When an idea strikes, I look for references that could best fit the subject I'm aiming. Some sites I go to are ffffound.com, behance.net, Feeds from my favorites artists on Deviantart, or just about anywhere in different design blogs on the web.  JA: Please name some of your favorite artists. I’ve been working with Dan Lachman of sharpshirter.com for the last four years. All of our interactions occur over gmail messages and chats, and I’m proud to say that we’ve made some of my favorite designs together. Generally, Dan will come up with an idea supplied with a number of google images and some of the worst pencil drawings I’ve ever seen, and then I make it happen. It usually takes us about two to three drafts, but by the end, we have something that neither of us imagined.

I am an 18 year old flash artist. I am attending the Illinois Institute of Art in Chicago, I just moved here in July of 2010. I am getting used to the city. I am studying in Media Arts and Animation. Hello! My name Yema Yema AKA Mercedes to my family and friends. I am originally from Ecuador. A small country in south America, but i currently live in Atlanta, GA. What got me to be an artist.. hmm it was one of the few things I really enjoy doing, plus I always wanted to do something different, something in which I could express myself with. I love colors, shape, and creatures.. i guess i wanted to create a world in which i could include myself in. Some of my fav artists.. hmm so many! haha ill mention a couple. Uberkraaft, Greg Abbot, Togui, Mr Burgerman, Zitone and many more.. La Mosca, which in spanish means "The fly" was created just as fun project.
