This is the 2nd Star Wars reference for December. Star Wars is hugely popular and likely is a good seller for them. You get 365 designs a year to choose from.
Considering all of that, I think you need to stop whining and STFU.
Hate to be a Grinch, but I’m getting pretty tired of designs that say nothing more than “hey, look! It’s two unrelated pop culture things! Together, on the same shirt, for no reason!” It’s not funny or clever unless there’s some amusing twist or thread of relevance to tie them together.
I hate being whiny, but I completely agree. I want cool original design work. Liek the Sumo a few weeks ago. Pop culture references are cool but become tired and boring if they are over used.

I don’t mean this to disrespect your work. I actually find this design clean and well put together. It is interesting in its minimialism and strays away from the clutter than most artists feel is necessary but really detracts from t-shirts. I actually think this design works for a sweatshirt very well.
I want to complain about this being another shirt made of cotton. Every shirt I come across now-a-days is made of cotton. Cotton shirts absorb water when it rains making it heavy , wet and uncomfortable. I will take the time to complain about this cotton shirt , but not take time to give a possible solution to my complaint.
Vader and Cobra Commander resided side-by-side in my toybox when I was little. Together they wreaked havoc on everything else in the room from the cockpit of my AT-AT. Their combination was, for me, inevitable. For me, it’s a bit of a self-portrait. Thanks to Ript for sharing it. Thanks to everyone else for checking it out.

This is what you get when the designs are chosen by the company “curators”. I’m cool that a few people like this. I don’t want to bash on their feel-good memories of their adolescence. (Or on an artist’s “self-portrait” for that matter.) Seems to me that RIPT is limiting their sales with shirts that appeal to a narrow band of consumers with these silly designs. If that business plan works, then more power to ya’. I couldn’t buy a-shirt-a-day from ya’ll anyway.

Some of you would complain no matter what shirt they put up. Why not instead, just don’t say anything at all? Its almost New Years Eve, stop spreading around anti-joy and negativity.
Hot shirt, and there will always be people with crits to make art better so its a win win!
Parodies, sometimes go a lot farther with customers only because it can evoke a memory, where as general “art” can create emotions in a few. I think as a curator here RIPT does a good job of mixing it up!
