Artist Bio

I’m definitely an East Coast girl living in the Midwest. I grew up as a Navy brat: born in Virginia, spent a few years in Hawaii and spent the bulk of my childhood in Rhode Island. I moved to Wisconsin in my early teens and have been stuck beside the Mississippi ever since.

I initially went to college for Music Theatre/Technical Theatre Education before switching majors and receiving a degree in Graphic Design. I now work as a freelance designer, mostly for non-profit organizations in the area. In my free time, I create t-shirt designs for sites and competitions and I even sneak in a little curating here at RIPT. ;)

I’m inspired by lots of things: from music (lots of music), classical art and novels to crazy conversations late at night, old black and white movies and cartoons. Some of my favorite t-shirt artists are ValorandVellum, EdgarRMcHerly, Jublin, WanderingBert, James Cho, and so many more.

I created this design for a woot derby recently. I wanted to do something for that week’s theme that very graphic that had a strong pop of color but maintained a fun aspect with the use of the owl. This was the result. I hope you enjoy!
