I am studying design at Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois and am currently into my 3rd year here, but I’m originally from the suburb of West Chicago. I spend most of my time cooking, sewing, reading (comic books), and being a general lazy-pants.
Inspiration is a strange thing for me. It comes in spurts and from weird and silly things. I am not inspired by the same things all the time, it’s really random!
The first sketch of the idea for this shirt was done during one of my marketing class. We were learning about B2B marketing (I think?) and for some reason I can’t remember what that is… But it made me think of snakes. The initial sketch was done by the end of class.

This is strong in one color, but I think I would have also liked it with a 2nd accent color (like red on the lips and perhaps in the snake eye). I still like this as is, though. Congrats on your print!

I agree with Jaden.
The design is very nice. A little color would make the excellent design pop and be more noticeable. As-is, the design disappears within itself.

@BDParmer – I think it’s still rather strong just black on gray. I just think that red would have added a bit of a pop to it.

Whoo! Very excited about this, (thank you RIPT!). I’ve been really into the T-Shirt design scene for about half a year now (and let me tell you, my closet is STUFFED with shirts because of it!) I’m glad I finally have the opportunity to get something printed!
I’d love to hear what you have to say (good and bad). :D
@ Jaden (and BDP) I can see where your coming from. I did the line work all in pen and I guess I just saw it as being all black and never really looked past that. Next time with one-color designs I’ll try working a few other colors in before I finish it up.

@Hynoxolus – Since you’re relatively new to the scene, you should really poke around some of the bigger shirt sites and watch what they choose and why. I think you may see a certain level of quality come forward in their pieces in your research. My only (personal) peeve would have been the rough edges. Had it been my work, I would have taken the eraser tool to clean up those edges. However, I’m crazy about clean lines in my work. Very rarely do I stray from that. But if it works for you, by all means, keep going for it and stick to your guns.

It is a nice design. I would purchase it but the colors seem very plain to me. A kudos to the artist though for letting us see this.
