I really like the design and its colors, and I’d like a hoodie in particular, but I don’t like the Ript logo on the chest. I don’t want to pay $38 and still have to promote your brand like that, and it doesn’t match the style of the design on the back.

It would be a lot cooler to have nothing at all there, or even another piece of thematically-matched work from the shirt’s creator. That would add value to the hoodie beyond just warmth and all.

I’ll probably buy it as a t-shirt, but as a hoodie that chest logo makes it a no-go. I’m glad you’re offering hoodies now, but I’ll probably never spend nearly $40 to get one if that logo’s on it.

I agree with Greg. Please take the “R” logo off the front of the hoodies, it doesn’t fit with most of the designs.
I would have bought a hoodie by now, but I really don’t like being an advertisement.

My name’s Daniel, I’m a graphic designer and I’m from Cocabamba, Bolivia. I love designing and creating. I’m a fan of Star Wars, Lost, Star Trek, and of film directors like George Lucas, Steven Spielberg, Stanley Kubrick, and Christopher Nolan.

I think that a designer must be constantly inspired and my constant inspiration is my family, my music and film tastes, and everything that’s around me (?).

The RIPT logo is, like, an inch tall and wide. And if someone did manage to see it, I doubt that they’d link that “R” to RIPT, unless they already knew about RIPT. The logo is barely an advertisement. I don’t see why anyone would let it stop them from purchasing a hoodie with a design they like on it. I wouldn’t. Plus, Nike, Reebok, Champion, etc. all do the same thing. The only hoodies I know that don’t are Jerzees, Hanes, Fruit Of the Loom. Anyway, if you like something enough to sport it, why not support it??

Great shirt! My father-in-law is a huge WHO fan so will make for a great X-mas gift!

As for the logo on the front of the hoodies, leave it! You need to rep your stuff just like anyone else. I’d rather wear an “R” on my chest than a nike swoosh any day, just like I do my Ript hat on a daily basis!!!

The issue I have with the logo is that its valueless. So are pretty much all logos, but established brands like Nike and Adidas have brand identities that their customers use to identify a quality product. Or their perception thereof, anyway.

Ript doesn’t need that. Their product isn’t quality craftsmanship, they print on pre-made garments that are standard across many t-shirt websites. Their value is also not in word-of-mouth for their designs, because by the time a customer wears a shirt purchased here it is already long gone and unavailable for purchase. Their product is quality curating of design work, and I’m more than happy to promote that product when people ask me where I get my shirts. An ambiguous R logo is not going to do any more to promote the quality of their design choices.

The R logo is unnecessary. It’s causing me, and several other people in this comment thread, not to purchase a hoodie. I’m buying the standard t-shirt instead. That’s $30 of lost sale. And absolutely nobody is going to forgo purchasing a Ript hoodie because it doesn’t have the logo. Its presence is a turn-off for some, its absence would be a turn-off for none.

Your shirts are so damn awesome you ought to be ashamed of yourselves!!!!!!!

In all seriousness, thanks for the cool Doctor WHO designs. I snagged a WHOsicle shirt not too long ago for me and my brothers, and we love them! I will echo the sentiments of a poster above– please keep bringing the WHO goodness; I’ll keep on buying the WHO goodness!
