I am from Texas (6th Generation).
I loved crafts when I was a kid and coloring was my favorite thing. It’s all about the art.
Monet, Renoir, Degas, Morisot. Love the colors and the pursuit of light in its purest form.
The idea for this shirt just popped into my head. I was thinking about black cats supposedly being unlucky and the number 13 being that also and I just wanted to put them together. On ORANGE. :)

Connor is right, it says “Thirteen Cats” and Parmer, I think I agree with you. Black cats would have made sense. I would have liked to have seen this on orange as Ressamac said in her write up. But I wonder if she and Matt decided on this combo since it was after halloween?

Thanks for the comments guys. I thought they were going to be black but I guess a design decision was made that they would look better brown. I thank the people at Ript for the print!

I really like the brown for some reason… I hope it stay this way. I kind of like how the beige/brown combo leads away from the generic Halloweeny feel black/orange would have… No claps from me.
if they made this shirt a nicer color and made the cats black id buy 2 of them…i cant believed they changed your design colors on their own! i know they own the design or whatever but how does it even make sense to have brown cats on a shirt that implies fun bad luck?

I agree…why are they not black?
However since some people like it the way it is…you should keep it as is. Then tomorrow (or whenever) repost it with black cats on a different colored shirt. That way you’d get the best of both worlds!
