This is nothing against Griggitee’s design, but I’m surprised we’ve run two pieces so similar to one another, in such a short time frame. When I saw this, the first thing I thought was, “Are we running another PavelFisher piece?” ‘Boo’ had this same exact feel and was only printed 2 weeks ago.
I totally dig the colors and such, I’m just surprised we didn’t end up going with, perhaps, a different 4 color piece of Griggitee’s so that similarity didn’t arise. BE THAT AS IT MAY, everyone who was bummed at missing PavelFisher’s piece should be able to happily grab one of these in lieu of the other and still be quite happy.
Agreed on the sketch. I’ve been in meetings like Griggitee’s that have made me want to put writing utensils into others where they certainly don’t belong
I always inspired to be an artist ever since I was a little kid and watched my grandfather draw cartoons for me.
This design came about after sitting in a loooong marketing meeting and just wanting to stab myself/someone with a pencil. I tried to think happy thoughts like a cute kitty but this is the doodle i came up with by the end of the meeting.
