My name is Lee and I run Studio1172. I have been in the print design field for 15 years. I live in the mountains of NC and play bass in a rock band. I became an artist when accounting and business management didn’t work out in college. I spent more time making up mockups for store fronts and logos than I did getting everything in the black. So, after a professor told me to check out another program, I walked into the Commercial Illustration and Print Design program. Some of my favorite artists are : Mucha, Varga, Miss Monster, David Mack, and Rockin’ Jellybean. This is based off of Kawanabe Kyosai’s 1864 woodblock print of The Fantastic Picture of the Great Battle of Frogs. Kyosai, along with partner,Kanagaki Robun, created the first manga magazine. He was quite the political illustrator of his time.
