I’m an artist working out of Chicago, usually working in illustration, however I also do dry etching, oil, and acrylic paintings. The illustration on “my deer friend” is an adaptation to an illustration I did of myself and one of my best friends Meghan Pugliese, whom I have a marriage pact with. I guess if we were some sort of hybrid animal species, this would be us…holding hands, as always.
It’s a shirt based on love…and I hope you love it as much as I do. Enjoy!

The illustration style on this tee is AWESOME!!!!!!

I think the bubble detracts a little bit from the really nice, thin line illustration, but it’s a great pick, Paul. Congrats on the print, rickikat! Coincidentally, I now want a ‘Deer Friend’.

Actually that’s not a bad call Jaden… ha!

Congrats!!

Looks good! Nice style.

I disagree. I think the bubble highlights the illustration. It sets it apart from other designs. Smart.

cute and original.
I just checked out your work, you do have a fun illustration style nice work

Great illustration. And I am biased—she is my cousin. Go Rickikat!

Just checked out her flickr site as well. Some very nice work there. And, I also agree that the bubble highlights the thin line work in this shirt design. Nice job!

Wow. I’m SO bummed. I’d buy at least 2 of these. One for my sister and one for my niece. Maybe even one for myself.
I bought 1 shirt year just a short time ago that was the such AWESOME art I had to get it. It was the H.P. Lovecraft shirt. I can’t wear that shirt often at all as I’m afraid to wash it that it might fall apart.
I can see my tattoos THRU this black shirt! Are These Tultex blanks?
I thought they only used those at carnivals for winning the ‘knock the can down” prizes.
The Bear the other day with the Salmon in his eyes. I woulda bought that instantly.
I love checking out the brilliant artists that show stuff off everyday, but I’ll never buy another shirt from here until there is a change to a better blank. If ever.
God I hope so. Too many good artists losing out on low sales due to terrible quality shirts?
*I’m Sad*

I completely disagree. I LOVE the Tultex blanks that RIPT has been using. They are the most comfortable shirt that I’ve bought on a custom shirt site. So far I’ve had a favorite I’ve put through the wash about ten times and there’s no degradation.
I also highly doubt you can see tats through a black shirt unless they used glowing neon ink. I’d buy 50 of these shirts before I bought another itchy Teefury tee.
But whatever. To each their own.

@fuzzylogic
Nothing is stopping you from buying the tees except yourself. :-)

Thanks for your comments on the blanks Fuzylogic. We do use tultex tees because we feel this is the best quality that we can offer for $10. For every person that complains about our blanks we receive another person who raves about them like Raikus. We are always looking for ways to improve our product. Since we’ve started, we have grown, and have been able to upgrade our screens that we use in the printing process. Will a thicker tee be next? It might be. We will keep you posted.
Thanks!

I agree with Jules–definitely adds to the design!

I was surprised to see the comment from Fuzzylogic, after receiving shirts from soo many different sites I was pleasantly surprised with the choice of RiptApparel (they this opinion was formed back when I received my first print)
[Reply]
just want to say thanks to everyone! I hope you enjoy the shirt!
[Reply]
Wow.
Really?
@Matt. Thanks for the nice reply. That really shows something more than some of the other replies.
NIce.
@The_JCW. I love your work so much and value your opinions as well.
I buy more Tshirts from limited edition Tshirt sights than I do just about anything else except food and beer.
I only wear Tshirts. Period. I buy them as gifts.
I loved the art on the shirt I got, but it’s frail to the touch and I can
see thru it. A black shirt.
I’ll wash it and let you know what happens. Well, off to the Pain Clinic.
Couldn’t get a ride. Gonna be hard to drive.
YAY!
BTW… Raikus, TeeFury is changing away from those horrible scratchy T’s because of people disliking them.
@Paul. Well, I hope there’d not be anything else keeping me from buying them. LOL
I love you guys here, I really do.
I just will have to search and see the argument over the blanks.
Take care you all.
