All fun and games aside, I dig the design
animabase
Thanks for comments WES
the_jcw
Just read the story behind the design, powerful message, but it also makes a great design. Nice work animabase
Ryan
Wes, the line is, “Shot through the heart, and you’re to blame..”
Paul

animabase

animabase
Thanks for kind comments. KatAttack and Jan..
BenT
Nice design animabase
RIPT, I’ve noticed an almost daily trend. Do you need a volunteer to spell/grammer check your artist/description area?
Matt
Thanks BenT, but we let the artists fill out that section for themselves.
Kathleen
Love the image. Sends a powerful message in light of recent shootings in Chicago. Would be great on a poster too.
chris
Nice design, reminds me of the banksy piece where the girl shoots herself in the head an the blood splatter turns into butterflies
JMayle
Nice design, and it looks good on a navy tee. -J Mayle
Bitch in the Kitchen
Keep checkin back to see what comes next… Love the idea, the site, the concept, and the products.. btw.. couldn’t help but notice that BenT spelled “grammar” wrong… so.. might need to do some of that checking for yourself… good luck RIPT!

This will be my first ript purchase. This shirt is awesome cant wait to get it!
Tom
i love the design BUT it may have been cooler if it was actually over the heart (like mirrored) lol
Eddy
I have not seen this design in years…
I have to say, I’m dissapointed. I was impresed for the few weeks I have been subscribed. Seeing this design forces me to question this site.
http://www.threadless.com/product/114/Flowers_in_the_Attic
The “flowers is the attic” painting has been around as long as the internet. Who originally painted it I am not sure. However, I am positive it was NOT banksy. seems Threadless.com purchased the design and has been spoon-feeding it to everyone since.
p.s. do a google search of “flowers in the attic”. It is also the title of a book so dont be alarmed when book covers start poping up. It should give you a good sense of how much elasticity this design has in it.

@Eddy – while it’s certainly not a NEW concept, it is a different twist on the idea. My personal feel on it is, I would have felt it was stronger if the gun was a full side perspective instead of that slight twist. However, those who love the transformation of these sorts of designs are not going to be swayed by (as I see it) that little imperfection.
JadenKale
@Eddy – other designs that mimic this concept:
Uneetees: Murder of Crows
Butterfly Asylum
It’s a common, thought-provoking, design concept.
P.S.: Jason Byron Nelson (JByron) created the ‘Flowers in the Attic’ design that is sold at Threadless. It’s definitely not a Banksy.
Paul
Is this shirt called flowers in the attic or does it even contain the silhouette of a human being? I didn’t think so. You should see the original design, which we had animabase change to what you see now. Calling this any sort of rip-off of that tee is a complete stretch, considering I have seen designs that I believe the threadless tee has borrowed from.
JadenKale
@Paul – I think it’s better this way than the original design with all the background pieces.

Pretty damn sick! The gun barrell is so smalL though, its like a mini gun!
Jordan
The short barrel pistol ruins it for me, along with the heart, and butterflies exploding out.. Oh wait..
Integral
@EDDY I have to disagree, maybe inspired but definitely not the same idea or concept, I am sorry but no ONE artists owns invented butterflies, guns, the color red, hearts and blood..High horse is too tall.. time to jump off
davidmon
Fark! The first design I truly love and I missed it!
animabase
Thanks for comments. ‘Heart Break’s first submission in RIPT is like below. This is my first original design that background have a hoody guy and burning car and building behind break heart and pistol.
Paul suggest me that I remove background image. So, This ‘Heart break’ is made. Below is my original artwork.

I dare to say It is diffent from artwork ‘threadless’ originally.
