I’m from the northwest suburbs of Chicago and have lived around here most of my life.
When I was in high school, I was taking some intro level art classes and I was really enjoying my graphic design class. I honestly had no plans on going into art at all until I got to college. I was originally going to study computer science, but I realized how much I don’t want to be dealing with math for the rest of my life; so I went with my next interest: computer animation.
Choosing favorites is always so hard. As far as shirt design is concerned, a some artists who inspire me are Lucas de Alcantara, Budi Satria Kwon, Lim Heng Swee, Nick Beery, Chow Hon Lam, Tang Yau Hoong, and Craig Watkins just to name a few.
This shirt was somewhat inspired by a long string of war movies I was watching the week that I came up with this. I had also just finished reading A Rumor of War, so I guess war was what was on my mind.

Behind the trees is where the enemy lies; weapons blazing– tearing streaks of red through the sky…

I do love the thought of a snowy forest at night and how the light quickly fades away
