love the design idea, but the inclusion of Benoit seems distasteful to me. It would have been better if it was a generic pro wrestler, especially since the inclusion of the black bar across the eyes is typically supposed to convey anonymity.
i can only voice my interpretation.
to me, this is symbolic of how Chris Benoit was essentially wiped from wrestling history because of what he did…and WWE/Fs embarrasment at the 3 hour tribute show before they realised what had happened.
Hence his eyes being censored.

Still, it is a shirt entitled “Die for Glory” with a picture of Chris Plumbing Benoit. Benoit most definitely did not die for glory.
I don’t think I could wear a shirt with Benoit on it, even though he was a great wrestler due to what he did. You really should have picked one of the many other wrestlers who have died in wrestling, since sadly there are TONS who have died and haven’t tarnished their careers by killing their whole family…
I see where you were going, and it is extremely depressing to see how many pro-wrestlers have died far too young for the sport.
I think this design is very cool. And I enjoyed the artist’s work on the website, too. Very good! Knowing next to nothing about pro wrestling and the personalities involved, I find it curious, to say the least, that despite the artist writing no stories & no dramas behind the making. just blablablas idea comes on my head and this is how i try to figured it out., the comments have nonetheless centered on stories and dramas. Surprised, twicolabs? Human nature of the masses vs. artistic expression of the individual? My hat is off to you, mister. Have a great future with your art!
Benoit wrestled every match like it was his last chance for glory.
This design really hits home with me. I love pro wrestling, love it. I do it, I recently tried out for FCW and everything.
I can understand completely why folks would be turned off by Benoit. Completely understand it.
To many wrestling purists, myself included, Benoit wasn’t just a wrestler. He was the best in-ring wrestler that ever lived, bar none and I seriously doubt there will be anyone that comes close ever. Of course, this is a matter of opinion, such as art, but his intensity was unmatched in the ring…and that is what killed him and his family. His intensity caused tens of concussions and brain trauma that more than likely drove him insane. Yes, he killed his family and then himself. I hate it, but can separate the wrestler from the man.

I understand everyone’s comments, Paulied esp, as our family has been fans of wrestling for decades. What Benoit did for the SPORT will never be matched. What happened personally was sick, sad & apalling!! McMahon has as much blood on him as anyone for what he does & does not do for \his men!!\ Don’t get me started. RIP
