I’m a 22 years old graphic designer born and raised in Mallorca, Spain. I’ve just finished my studies of graphic design and I’m working in the screen printing industry.
Introduced in the world of design because of the fascination for the bands merch. I love conceptual artitsts like Rob Dobi, Banksy, Obey, Eric Drooker…

Hey it’s the JetBlue guy!

I don’t get it: is Marti Bruno the ball and chain that corporate types are trying to break away from?
Martí Bruno
Hi! I put the sign in the middle of the ball because it vas visually atractive, I’m not trying to break away from myself :P
Hope you like the design!
RC
Marti, I think you should have put your logo on the bottom and not in the ball. Nice Design though.
Chris
I would’ve bought it without the signature.
Scott Olsen
Does anyone have a non implanted idea when they comment? No one would have said or thought otherwise about the signature unless the first person said something.
Plus, Its a signature because it’s a piece of artwork. The signature is the sweet part!

reminds me of mad men

Actually the first thing I wondered when I saw the shirt was what the MB meant. Had to zoom in to see it clearly. Agreed that it looks like Mad Men and would be better without the conspicuous branding.

The first thing that popped into my head when I saw that was “That’s what my dad looked like his last day of work when he retired…running home to take his suit off and his “Dog collar of oppression aka. neck tie…While the ball and chain was braking from his leg.” I like your logo in the ball and your choice of color! <3 It also made me LOL because you don't see many business men skipping. It's awesome! <3
Brett
Agreed.
redeye
Ohhh, grasshopper. Maybe you could think before you react in such a defensive mode. Actually, Mr. Mindreader, the first thing that I focused on was the BIG RED BALL in the forefront of the design. Then the writing on the ball. Then on how ridiculous the figure of the man looks.
Is his leg so high up his back because he just broke the chain? It looks broken. Is that it, Marti B.?
redeye
BTW, Scotty, my earlier comment was meant as a reply to you. Just sayin’.

Tees without sinage is just a picture of some thing. When the Artist signs his or her works , it becomes a piece of Art.hawaiki*

Perhaps you could submit some thing better ?. Get out your sketch pad and lay a few lines on the paper and submitt your art work so we can all see your talent.
msherise
@ Marti: NICE work. It’s great when art gets reaction….ANY reaction. THAT’s the point. I am broke, or I would have bought this shirt. It makes me want to say SCREW THE MAN, then sing the Johnny Cash Version of Rusty Cage….:takes bow:

No,no,no way. I am not an artist nor do I claim to be one. I could not submit something better. But I know I could easily pick something better. There’s hundreds and hundreds of unprinted designs to choose from. I don’t think that this site offers designs as good as many other t-shirt sites. But I have purchased some from here and I hope to purchase more. And msherise hit a bullseye when she commented ” It’s great when art gets reaction….ANY reaction. THAT’s the point.” If I submitted a design of mine to this site and they put it up for vote, not only would they be crazy but people would murder it and rightly so. If this site’s credo is “If you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all”, then I’d better stop shopping here. I see so many designs by very young artists, like this one, and we would do them a disservice if they didn’t hear peoples’ honest reactions to their work.
If my comment yesterday was rude, I apologize and I will try to not hurt anybody’s feelings in the future. Tell me, RIPT staffers……would you rather hear honest comments or have us not view and comment on the designs at all?
redeye
OOOOPS! That was not westerndude’s comment. It was mine, redeye. westerndude had decided not to comment and we didn’t change the name.
Steven
Marti, what about this red t-shirt with business camera-headed people on it??? I love that design, wonder where I can still ontain it???
