Now THIS is a flag shirt I could wear. Very nice.

You know, I can’t find a citation on this, but I know having the stars in the top right corner, if the flag is hung vertically, means something anti-American. While the design is really cool, I wouldn’t want to walk around with an anti-American message on my chest, specifically in this time of great patriotism. If the flag is to be hung vertically, the stars should be on the top left, if facing the flag. That part I am sure of.

I can’t seem to find any proof that it’s anything beyond disrespectful, but it is, indeed, that.

Hanging a “actual” flag vertically with stars to the left is proper etiquette ONLY. 5 Generations of my family have fought for freedom spaning every war this land has seen, and people like you who take that freedom just to start another fight over “etiquette” You start the fights and we soldiers bleed for it. According to the US Flag Code, a flag is anything “by which the average person seeing the same without deliberation may believe the same to represent the flag.” This is an official flag and it is being hung wrong, as the average person can recognize it as a flag. Even if this flag were to be hung properly, I would not buy the shirt as I am not a very patriotic man due to the recent events in our war history. Just because I’m educated on flag etiquette does NOT MEAN YOU CAN JUDGE ME.

I was not arguing anything. I stated a fact that this shirt might not be as patriotic as some might like, someone insulted me by blindly judging who I am, and I defended myself. Case closed.

Um. My grandfather is a vet (Navy, served during the Cuban Missile Crisis (part of blockade) and hangs the flag on his house like this (on flag pole attached to a front overhang). Just saying… Never once would I call him Anti-American, nor has anyone else.

actually that flag will be hung the right way according to you sam fisher, when thats printed on the shirt the stars will be on the left side, when you look at it on this its on your right but turn around and imagine that same image on the front of your shirt, and you will see that the stars are on the left….

and just look at the people modeling the shirt at the top of the page, thats their left your right, think before you speak.

OMFG! It’s a f$*&ing Wal-Mart shirt! Who actually wears the flag on a t-shirt? Not to mention that there are only 11 stripes! Super FAIL.

You do realize there actually are 13 stripes correct? The black ones finish off the edges. Also, apparently lots of people wear flags on shirts, they sold a bunch of these!
