The Nerd Brain
Life of a RIPT T-Shirt

    Julius

    gotta get it!

    Mouse

You pretty much hit the nail on the head..or the synapse as it were…but I beg the question..where are the video games…or does that fall under useless trivia?

    jeff

The social skills region is far too large..

    Hodor

    Hodor.

    Hap3niz

    i want!

    NoOneLikesCheese

Pleerped! Gonna give this to Mark Young at the next BBQ in Lower Felton! He’ll love it but will go nuts when I spray him with the hose!

    Kristy

Only thing really is not a fan off Monty Python and would video games would replace that section for me.

    Beccity

This one ought to be personalize-able. I don’t feel I know that many Monty Python quotes. And yes, social skills is too large. So is math, for me.

    Retro

It’s easier to just point to my shirt than to have to explain how my brain works.
    Totally buying!

    Joshtheman

    Are YOU the Brain Specialist?

    Rocks, Maps and Crafts

Love it. Bought it. My first shirt from RiptApparel. :) Yay!

    Irma and the Armada

Does it come with a “Kick Me” sign to wear on the back?

Can you make some of the other potential designs that I am not embarrassed to wear? It’s like you hang a bunch of steaks out in front of dogs then take them away

    zorasdomain

It bothers me how accurate this is.

    JD

Some people here are far too opinionated for their own good. Yes, this shirt proudly displays to the world that you are a nerd. Is that so wrong? Isn’t this site constantly populated with shirts that are meant for a secluded section of the population? I don’t see how this shirt is any more nerdy than the Dr. Who or Star Wars shirts.

I’d also like a video games section in there somewhere but the rest of it pretty much applies to me.

    Graham

    Enchantment?

    Samwise gojo

    Nothing wrong with an opinion.

I think it’s offensive and pigeon-holes people. I am interested in some of the things here, some I am not at all so I wouldn’t wear it but I find it weird people embrace a stereotype and what was typically a hate word.

    Sarah

AH Robo Tuna/Samwise… did you notice that ALL of the t-shirts on this website appeal to a stereotype… kind of the point… ya know, make a joke/reference to the wearer’s lifestyle/interests…? Eg: someone who likes people to know they like guns, wears a shirt with a cool gun on it. Someone who likes being a nerd, wears a shirt with a nerd labelled brain on it.

    Lee

There is nothing wrong with an opinion but I don’t see how anyone can find this design offensive, it isn’t making fun of people who like the things written on it? It’s also no different than wearing a Doctor Who themed T-shirt which tells everyone you like Doctor Who.

And if it’s the title ‘Nerd Brain’ you don’t like, there is always the option of wearing the T-shirt and not telling people that it’s called ‘Nerd Brain’…

It’s not the kind of design I’d wear but it looks good, congratulations on getting it printed!

    Samwise gojo

But isn’t this the culture that is supposed to be opposed to stereotypes? Personally I dislike a few things so I don’t like when people say to me “you like X so therefore you like Y.”. I don’t know why that wouldn’t bother most people.

    Defiant Laurie

This tee is the first one I’ve been completely comfortable with.
So much I had to have it!
I love my first purchase from Ript and I haven’t even tried it on yet!!!

    Jordan

    Samwise gojo and Robo Tuna:

SO DON’T BUY IT and don’t imply that others shouldn’t like it. Gee, that was easy.

    Sandal

    Enchantment!

    Samwise gojo

So let’s not have opinions and conform to the status quo. Thanks for the advice.

    Zero

Awesome… although I can’t help thinking that most nerds/geeks have a largish “porn” section in their brains that’s been overlooked here. :P

    whtdragon12

I’d buy it if it didn’t have the Monty Python Quotes on it :\ Awesome design though!

    DragonTears

Owning the word that people use to try to make you feel bad and turning it around to be proud of it is not new. Nerd Geek B*tch … I don’t have as much Comic Book knowledge as it implies but it’s a fun shirt. I love it! Congrats on the print :D

    DragonTears

Oh also… Brush up on Monty Python… it does the soul good LOL and this is just a cross section of the brain… like an MRI… plenty of room left for the Video Game and Porn section. Just not shown in this slice *giggles*

    merrypranxter

@Joshtheman – YES! ftw! lol! Way to tie it all together there :D

    Graphospasm

I love this shirt! The only problem is that it doesn’t contain a section for literati like me, and math is quite possibly the devil, so… not for me personally, but a great design overall!

You know what would be neat? A shirt like this where you could fill in the blanks yourself. This probably isn’t the best place to showcase that option, but… eh. Great shirt regardless!

    Tawna

This is so my husband… it’ll be a great “welcome home from Afghanistan” gift. :-)

    Just apples

    Mmmmmmmmmmm… I want it

    Centinel

I think it’s offensive and pigeon-holes people…I find it weird people embrace a stereotype and what was typically a hate word.

Embrace the stereotype and proudly display your geekship. Unless you’re a scrawny nerd, then you’ll probably just get beaten up for it.

    Alli

Awesome! It just needs a gaming space … and I need this on a poster!

    Dominick

    This designs sucks a fatone,
I thought it’d be a much cooler design as I’ve seen in the Graveyeard, I was getting excited to see the new shirt of the day and I come to this.. what a disappointment -_-

    Metah-4 Genome

    That is me…on different days….
I spread my DNA to my kids…Life Of Brian…They love that movie!!

I will be wearing this everyday…since my social skills aren’t that big, I guess it won’t matter..LMAO!

    merrypranxter

yeah well that’s just like… your opinion, man… lol

    TRH

It definitely needs a space for THAC0 tables and weapon bonuses too…in addition to video games.

    Epic Effect

@merrypranxter: Great concept. I can’t understand why anyone who appreciates geek culture would hate on this shirt. BTW, love the lebowski quote, man.

    Daumier

I have a friend who said to me the other day “You keep describing yourself as a ‘geek’. What does that mean?” I kind of struggled to give her a definition that could apply to the wide variety of interests geeks have. Next time I’ll just point to this T-shirt.

    Mouse

The internet is the greatest display of niche wear and services available in the world. Besides, you only get pigeon-holed by someone who holds the reigns of power in your culture….I highly doubt that applies to a tee-a-day site….Offensive is a word that is bandied about too often these days. I wish I had 13 dollars for this shirt…but alas….And stop saying nerd and geek like it’s a four letter word *If someone makes the obvious reply to that last sentence expect a large box of rabid badgers sent to your house very soon*

    Carrie Wehmeyer

Nerd is the new cool! I was born and grew up before political correctness tried to create a homogeneous society. I embrace the differences between people and the sameness that gives us other people to hang out with when we’re bored.

    Artkitty13

teehee, I <3 it, this is awesome! :)

    Dr. Manolo

    I never quote monty python

    Exzuberant

Merrypranxster, these questions three I have:
    1) What is your quest?
    2) What is your favorite color?
    3) Can we have a fill-in-the-blanks brain on your website?
I would totally do a silly walk to be able to remove math and replace it with something else!

    Scat-one

in my opinion, there’s a difference when it is Star Wars, Dr. Who, etc. because it is displaying you like a certain thing but it isn’t the ONLY thing. A shirt like this basically is saying you have these interests ONLY and lack social skills, it is a pretty offensive stereotype if you ask me. If nerd/geek is cool, they’ll need social skills to establish that so others follow and respect it.

    justanotherguywithanopinion

“I have a negative opinion, meh!”

This is T-shirt. That’s it. just a T-shirt. If you don’t feel it is something you can relate to or would wear, then wait until tomorrow, or browse some of the other shirt a day sites out there. No-one is forcing anyone else to wear this, so it cannot be a stereotype. If you receive this as a gift because someone you knows thinks it applies to you, regardless of accuracy, say thanks and be grateful they care enough to get you a present.

Oh, and give someone a free hug today, because you probably need some human contact.

    “I’m here for an argument.”

    Nick

@mouse: nerd and geek both have four letters to make up the word. Can i have my badgers now? I always wanted a pet :D. btw, are they people friendly????

    Dirk Trickle

I find it odd people chime in to conplain about the ones complaining and tell them not to complain

So complain about the person complaining about a t-shirt. Take time to write a long explanation of why they are wrong to have their opinion while you post yours. Strange how they’re only wrong in what they say when they disagree with you, isn’t it?

    Michelle

I’m heartbroken that I missed this by a few hours! Darnit! This is about the most accurate representation of my brain I’ve ever seen. (Something tells me this should shame me, yet, it doesn’t.)
