Where are you from?
I’m from a little city in south of brazil called São Francisco de Paula.
What inspired you to become an artist?
That’s happened naturally, I always liked to draw and before work with t-shirts and was working in a Advertising Agency. So, the things just happened :]
Who are some of your favorite artists?
I love Julia Somni, Lucas de Alcantara, Mathiole and Mc Bess works. Actually there’s lots but those are the mainly one.
Tell us about your shirt?
That idea was born when I was travelling to work. I saw a couple of pop corns designs – I can’t remember from where, but I was with that idea, make something with pop corns. I think that’s pretty usual and very funny.

Nice work, Tobe!

ARGH, awesome design ruined by a white tee… and i know some people like white but i think a light green or navy blue would work soo much better
[Reply]
Its actually on “Natural” so it has a slight yellow tint to it… like popcorn :D

Those hot summer days can make you pop.

We respect your thoughts lysol, but this design is far from “ruined” and like TJ said, it is not on a white tee. Adjust your monitor maybe? :-)

This cracks me up. I like it!

A darker color shirt would require and extra layer under the design (underbase, a.k.a. primer layer) to maintain the color definition.
The natural tee keeps on organic blend between the colors of the design and the background tee color without extra ink layers.
It looks nice as it is. Good work guys!

:) nice work as always

really funny t-shirt!! RIPT does a lot of t-shirts with popcorn don’t they?
[Reply]
Did anyone notice we now accept PAYPAL??? :-)
[Reply]
paypal FTW. Also maybe RIPT can generate a popcorn era in design. It will totally dominate art deco, dada, or surrealism.

PayPal! Thankkkkkyouuu! But this one is not for me, I’m not a fan of off-white shirts, I just look dirty in them.

Oh I see we break down and provide you what you ask for and then it’s just not good enough? hahaha the typical way business works. ;-)
Hopefully in the future we make the right shirt.

@krisrobinson – It’s on “Natural” :)

Personally I think the color really fits the way the illustration was drawn and the overall atmosphere it gives me.
