I really like the look to this one. Very clean illustration with nice, soft colors. Keep up the good work Toni.

Clever! I really like this both in design and concept.

love the style on this one, I really am starting to enjoy the style of shirts that are chosen to print here.
To comment on a post from yesterday, You do need to make girl shirts available here, I have been hearing friends and family already commenting that they would have bought a shirt of two if you had them available.

BOO. POOR FORM. What a rip. Grow some originality.
You forgot SLATERROCK under your favourite artists.
TJ
“Poos”… is that your real name :)

Hey, the design is great — but it’s clearly a rip-off of a design that’s been printed on the well-known apparel site Threadless.com
The Skyscrapers by Michael B. Myers
RIPT Apparel, you should be more cautious about what you print to avoid legal issues. Watch Toni Matas’ further submissions…he has other ripped work on his website, as well.
Erin
There is no way that any teeshirt company could sift through the thousands of shirts from every teeshirt website.
It is pretty low to call yourself an artist when you clearly rip off another’s idea. Granted.. Every Idea comes from another, Its just unfortunate to see this fall so close to the tree.

stolen designnnnnnn

Great t-shirt! Who gives a crap if it’s similar to another design? Both are cool shirts with clear different styles applied to them, now is your chance to decide which one you like best. Other than that I would instruct you to get one of those ‘lives’ that so many people are living instead of trolling t-shirt entry websites for comment forum credibility.
Raikus
This is clearly not a ripoff. It may be similar or even influenced by the Threadless print, but it definitely doesn’t constitute a ripoff. There are plenty of differences between the two designs — enough so that it’s highly conceivable that both designs are authentic and one wasn’t influenced by the other.
The only things the designs share in common is that they feature small landscapes and large blue collar figures working on sky elements.
Seriously guys, analyze the stuff before you start throwing around words like “ripoff” or “stolen.” Those are serious charges in the art community that obviously don’t hold up here.

We can leave you all to debate, but the truth is that these designs are not the same at all. Style-wise & color wise they are very different. We had no idea of the previous shirt, and they are both great designs.
The concepts behind both are only vaguely similar. I have not a problem with Sky Operator!

Nicely executed, yet too closely derivative for me…
