    Another repeat.

Give someone a break today. This shirt is on another website right this moment. Good design, but kind of lame that it’s duplicated….

    Ice

I totally love this shirt, just had to buy it. Can’t wait to get it!!!

    FHB

Give everyone a new shirt design today

    Someone

Someone should make a Power Rangers shirt.

I’d love an explanation from someone at Ript as to why they think it’s ok to sell a design that is currently on sale at another site. This is insane! Is there any kind of non-compete clause between you and the artist? I’m willing to bet the competing site has one. And even if they didn’t, this is shameful. What happened to exclusivity? If Ript printef this knowingly, shame on them. And, shame on the artist for submitting this design to 2 sites at once.

    GentlemenCinder

Oh boo freaking who, speaking of who if this was a repeat of a Doctor Who shirt from another site I’m sure no one would be whining.

It’s a cool design and it’s topical considering this is the weekend of the Transformers release.

Deal with the shirt, it’ll be gone in 24 hours just like every other shirt and then the worry of “Competition” won’t be a problem.

Besides if you wanted to buy this off of reddbubble it would probably be like 30 bucks, and half of your favorite ript t-shirts were their first anyways.

    Gill

What you dont get is its for sale on another tee site right now. Thats not right

    Rob Bloom

Someone give Gill a chill pill. Ript = great shirt, for a nice price.

    Manfred

I actually like the shirt color on the other site better. Worth the extra $2 for the better color. I’ll buy it there. Thanks anyway, Ript.

    Sally

This t-shirt is blue. The other website’s shirt is grey. So it is technically a different shirt.

    senseicorykun

Anger check, gang. It’s ok. The world isn’t over. It’s a neat shirt. Neat enough for two sites

    Minow

Hahahaha everyone is really funny today!

    Great shirt!

    LightningArt.nl

I don’t care if a design is for sale at one site, and then a week (or more) later on another site.
But at the same moment.. that is bad.

But.. Now you can choose between this print on a blue shirt.
Or on the other site (google it) on a grey shirt.

Finaly the freedom of choosing a shirt color :P. LOL

    Keep smiling everyone!

    mangakid

Oh my god, I like saw a t-shirt for sale in one shop and then I went to another shop and it was for sale there too!! Crazy! I don’t get it, why would you want to sell to a wider audience and give customers greater choice? How is that profitable? If more than 3 people in the world are wearing a t-shirt I wont buy it as I might bump into them and that’d be so lame.

    DjDiddles

This shirt would be awesome! If it was drawn better, and if the artist wasn’nt blatantly using copyrighted characters to profit off of. There’s no way this is covered under parody.

    Matt Borchert

Actually I can straight up guarantee that this is covered under Parody law. Because that is exactly what it is.

    Matt

This shirt is so cool that it deserves world domination, stop your bitchin :)

Sorry guys, I’m fairly new to this: RIPT accepted the design at the same time another company did. The print dates were different, which was good, but at some point the print dates changed so that they overlapped. Both companies were made aware but it was too late to change.

I will take full responsibility for this discrepancy, but I hope that you all enjoy the shirt nonetheless.

The artist is getting paid – and more importantly, exposure – from his designs – how can this be anything but good? It’s a submissions site, and if neither site selling this on a shirt has an exclusivity clause or contract, why should anyone but the artist and the site’s relevant submissions lead have any concern over how many sites you can buy it on? Hell, one of my favourite artists is seen on at least half a dozen sites, including her own.

You know, it’s so sad that people who are entirely unaffected by this shirt’s sale on two sites are getting so uptight about it.

    dj121

Well, I have no clue what the other site is. Would like to see it in grey then make up my mind. I know people probably can’t come out and say it, but google turned up nothing.

    Kuma

Why is everyone getting so butthurt that the shirt is on two websites? All the shirts you see on this site you can find on the artist’s website, and maybe even another at an earlier or later time. Just enjoy the shirt. Decide which site you want to order from and leave it at that.

    Croooow

Google “you got the touch ninjaink $12″ and you may need to click a link within a very early result to find it. Just look for NinjaInk’s name…

    Eddie

Love the fact that it’s on two sites, in two colors! Bought both!
Ninjaink – This is a brilliant design, thank you so much. The color variations on both sites make it even more interesting, I wish it would happen more often :)

Every day I check Ript, people in the comments are complaining. Seriously, every day you find something new to whine about. Can you guys shut up for one day and just enjoy the shirts? Ript is nice enough to offer bitchin’ shirts for 10 bucks so just relax and enjoy it.
Seriously you guys, shut the fuck up. If you are unhappy with Ript, don’t check the site.

    Seven

Also, I was going to think on this and come back, but now I’m just going to buy it because of all the haters. This is a nice design, ninjaink. Don’t listen to the haters.

    chris

    Epic shirt.

    Under Ript’s Service tab:

“Do artists retain the rights to their artwork?
Yes. Artists retain all rights to their artwork and may print it elsewhere. However, RIPT Apparel does retain the right to display the artwork on its website indefinitely. Artists’ artwork may be used in future promotional materials by RIPT Apparel. The artist may do whatever they wish with their design after it’s day of sale at RIPT, including sell it to another t-shirt site.”

    So calm yourselves.

    lexi

For the artist: fantastic concept–it looks great. A friend linked me to this and I HAD to buy it! I hope to see more of your TF designs!

    Kravis

Would a Transformer expert or the artist himself kindly teel me the name of the transformer being “created” by Optimus?

    Jim

    @ Kravis it’s HotRod

    @Ninja-Ink:
The design is PHANTASTIC! Congrats on getting it printed on two different sites! :)) Don’t worry about the whining going on here right now – people seam to find something negative to say about practically every shirt that’s offered to us.
You said you’re new to this, so I just wanna tell you that in fact what you did is what most designers do. Submitting the design to various sites at the same time in the hopes of getting it printed at least once, with a little luck maybe twice. Normally that would be at different times then, but obviously neither one of the sites wanted to lose the opportunity of selling it at the moment of highest possible interest due to the movie hitting the cinemas just now.
So, you did what can be expected of any artist out there and so did both RIPT and NB. I was first surprised when I saw the design on both sites at the same time, cause that’s a first for me – but it just means you were very successful in marketing it! So, I tip my hat! You did a great job with this design! :)
And frankly I am happy that I for once got to decide between two different t-shirt colors without having to pay a higher price – that doesn’t happen that often. :))

    @RIPT:
Thanks for offering this design here even though it already was offered for several days over at NB. I had considered buying it there, but in the end I bought mine here simply because Optimus Prime’s helmet being blue is more accurate than it being grey. It’s as simple as that. Thanks for this wonderful design! ^^

@all those here who posted angry comments about the design being up on 2 different sites:
Why are you guys getting so upset about this? It’s just for 24 hours, then there’ll be another shirt! Why is this such a big deal to you guys? No offence, I’m honestly not getting it. Sorry.

    Cheers! ^^
    edDy

    gobias

Props for getting this up on not only 2 sites, but on the same day! No one may doubt your awesomeness.
I will probably get this, more as a vote for more ninjaink designs than wanting this one (no offense, dood…fan of your work), as I really want the Prime Trucking shirt.

    Turd ferguson

    What a RIPT off.

    Ninjaink

Thank you all for the support! RIPT has been incredibly good to me, so I have learned in the last few months to space out my submissions between companies to minimize the chance that a design may be printed simultaneously. I’m happy that people still love TF and the positive feedback has been wonderful. Hope you all enjoy the shirt, hoodie, or onesie, and have a great Independence Day weekend!

    Destroy You

You guys are all super homos for complaining about some shit that nobody will read. Do you think someone will go through all the comments before the buy the fucking shirt? No. They’ll buy the fucking shirt, and then wear it. End of story.

By the way, I just think it’s funny to point out that commenting here to argue is pretty much the same thing as arguing with people on youtube comments. It’s reserved for 10 year old children.
