-Where are you from?
Chicago suburbs
-What inspired you to become an artist?
I’ve always been a doodler, but I didn’t become interested in making anything more complex until I took a school trip to an art museum in middle school. While most art forms didn’t inspire me, seeing surrealism completely changed the way I thought of art. The idea of creating impossible scenes and using humor to make an impact totally captured my imagination.
-Who are some of your favorite artists?
The medium I love the most is t-shirts, so that’s the world my favorite artists come from. Folks like Jimiyo, James Cho, Sonmi, a.mar.illo, valorandvellum, radiomode and Edgar R. McHerly inspire me and make me want to try new things.
-Tell us about your shirt?
This is the platypus, the strangest of all animals, tweaked to become an ever greater mutant. With the addition of wings, he becomes Platasus- half platypus, half pegasus, and 100% badass.
