Artist: Joyce Rice
Joyce Rice is an illustrator/cartoonist who grew up in the forest and came to the Big City to learn to draw pictures professionally. She chose this career path likely as a result of reading too much Spawn in high school, and knowing more about those X Mans than U.S. history.
The drawing that would become this shirt was made at a bar after being told that the guitar her cousin was playing was called a “Telecaster,” which immediately conjured a mental image of a robot violently projectile-vomiting a rainbow. Joyce currently posts drawings twice-weekly at www.teenyrobots.net, and is working on the second issue of her print-comic, entitled Bird Wizards.
