Hi Chris – what’s lame? My design or the choice of design? I wish people would be a little more considerate when they come here and post their comments. People work bloody hard to both create the designs and print/supply the tees here. I don’t always like everything that’s printed here or at any other site, but that’s my problem, not RIPT’s, so I keep it to myself and respect the right of others to enjoy it instead.

This Dr. Who thing is really starting to get out of hand. Im sorry – haters gonna hate and all that, but at this point even the fans have to admit this is a bit too much. Not that its not a great design that a lot of work obviously went into, all I am saying is that maybe it could have been put up for sale about a month from now.
I think this shirt is awesome and especially love the little details like the hash marks on the top of the TARDIS.
I am one of those crazy people that will buy a Doctor Who shirt everyday and I have a feeling i am not the only one. I am pretty sure ript wouldn’t choose so many DW shirts if they didn’t sell like crazy. The heart wants what the heart wants. ;-)
Kestrel – the argument about what should be printed and when is between RIPT and the sites visitors, not me. But even then the site wins the argument hands down because they’ll sell what makes the money and allows them to survive (and gives them the financial ability to carry less popular designs to, I guess).
My gripe is purely about the unnecessary negativity used in these comments by people who are not interested in buying. All it does is bring the mood down for everyone else. Try for a second see it from the perspective of the designer who has been lucky enough to be selected for print, only to see the comments on his big day littered with “not again!” “something else please” “enough with who” etc etc etc? It’s depressing and demoralising and ruins what otherwise is an exciting event for us.
Mind you, there’s nothing wrong with voicing your opinions, and I support that totally, but how about you do it in a private email to the website owners rather than rain on the designers and buyers parade.
What episode would I watch to best understand this? Like I watched “Blink” to understand an angel shirt, what would I watch to get the reference to the astronat, hash marks, and Silence? MUch appreciated if someone answers.
Oh my. I adore this design and color. I didn’t notice the hash marks until i looked at the larger image. *squee* Sadly, zero expendable funds available, so i’ll keep an eye for this in the future. I *really* like this shirt.

I can appreciate the art work,and that most artist pour their heart and soul into a design. However, I must agree with many of the comments above…Haven’t we had enough Dr.WHO?? I love DR.Who as much as anyone, but as a nerd, geek etc. I feel there isn’t enough variety with all the subject matter out there. Out of the last 20 shirts 4 shirts have been Dr.Who. Even the re-print was Dr.Who. I just want to point out that I’m tired of it. RIPT has to have tons of potential designs that aren’t Dr.Who. Please put this subject matter on the shelf for awhile.

Amazing design! I really love the tallies on the TARDIS :) I don’t think we really get as many Doctor Who shirts as people complain about. In the last month, we’ve had maybe 3 or 4? Not including today, but still. It’s a popular show, and I don’t think the designs are too similar or repeats. It’s not as bad as the Star Wars shirts, which tend to be similar…I mean, I love Star Wars, but I almost always see crossovers of some other characters from another movie/tv show/book dressed up as the Star Wars characters. And usually Han and Chewie.

While, the design is actually very good, and the artist should be proud of their skills, it’s just the whole Dr. Who theme…do we really need another one? I follow this website so that, in the event that a shirt that tickles my fancy appears, I’ll be quick to buy it. With every Who shirt that I’ve seen…it makes me less and less hopeful for this site.

As for the haters, there really hasn’t been a Doctor Who shirt in 2 weeks, not counting the reprint. If people didn’t buy Who, RIPT wouldn’t print Who. I’m sorry to everyone out there who has never watched an episode (I say this because I refuse to believe you’d all hate the show if you watched it, it is way too fantastic to hate) and just blindly rage online about it. But the 17 of you out there who whine every time an awesome Who shirt comes up are also probably not buying most of the non-Who designs anyway.

As for the haters, there really hasn’t been a Doctor Who shirt in 2 weeks, not counting the reprint. Yes, there was the reprint a few days ago but I’m assuming RIPT plans their shirts in advance and how would they know the highest voted reprint would be Doctor Who related? And the fact that the shirt with the most votes was a Doctor Who shirt only proves that this is what the people want.

@ Vincent, that was the 2nd creepiest/spookiest eps ever!! the angels being the first. both of those storylines scared me to pieces! congrats on the print, buying it will be one of the first things i do when i get home tonight.

I love buying Doctor Who and Star Wars shirts all the time! I just wish there was more variety other than Doctor Who and Star Wars.

For all those complaining about the # of Doctor Who designs, in the past few months the total # has been less that 8% of the shirts. That isn’t very many! Give it a rest. If you don’t like, don’t buy (but I’m sure you know someone that likes Doctor Who, so, be a good friend, buy one for them). And don’t be nasty in your comments if you don’t like it.

If people didn’t buy Who, RIPT wouldn’t print Who. I’m sorry to everyone out there who has never watched an episode (I say this because I refuse to believe you’d all hate the show if you watched it, it is way too fantastic to hate) and just blindly rage online about it. But the 17 of you out there who whine every time an awesome Who shirt comes up are also probably not buying most of the non-Who designs anyway.
Vincent, seriously, don’t let the haters bother you. It’s not you, or the design or even Doctor Who. It is these people who want to complain about the forest for the trees. Bunch of crybabies.

Some of use are just tired of Who shirts, sorry. I understand they sell well (um, duh), that doesn’t make my opinion any less valid to me.
