Clearly Doctor Who shirts sell, so it’s, like T.C. said, a sound BUSINESS decision; which is what these artists are out to do; make shirts that sell.
Anyway, since April, there’s only been six Doctor Who shirts, roughly one every two weeks, so just get over it and don’t buy it. No need to be bitter…swap over to another tee site if you must.

What’s the deal with all the hate on here? There’s a new shirt every DAY. If you don’t like it, wait 24 hours! I’ve been following this site for six months, and I’ve bought four shirts. Are you really trying to buy every shirt?! Seriously, chill out.

Just wanted to say congratulations on getting the shirt reprinted. This was my very first Doctor Who Tshirt that I ever bought so I’m pleased to see it out again. I had a few friends who missed out so going to tell them all to get in quick.

everyone needs to just show respect to the artist…Yes it’s yet another doctor who shirt (i have seen the show, not my cup of tea). I see why some people would rather see something else, cuz all of the star-wars and who shirts can make us who are not fans feel left out. I was honestly hoping the Alien super-soaker tee would have won. But people who want other shirts, just check back tomorrow. And those who love all the who shirts, stop acknowledging the comments against doctor who. every one has a right to voice their opinion, but the smart know when not too.

can’t ever complain about Doctor Who tees. I ordered this one because the one i ordered from Qwertee a while back shrunk in the wash! Ript tees never do that, plus I gotta represent the Whovians and i loved the design.

I hope the votes were from people who missed the first print run, and not just because they liked the shirt design…

It does suck that there are a lot of Doctor Who designs: it’s unfair that one of those designs gets a reprint when there are other much more rare themes (and artists) that won’t ever get a reprint. And for all those Doctor Who fans out there: if you happened to miss a Doctor Who shirt, chances are you’ll get another design in a few days time :P

I think that’s the gist of all the complaints at the top: why reprint a shirt when you’ll get a similar-themed shirt in the not too distant future?

I’m a big fan of the text-to-picture shirts, but i wish this was the Jaws “Bigger Boat” shirt of the same design. It translates well for what i believe is the iconic ship from Dr. Who, and a big congrats on getting voted to the top. Thats quite the feat.

Now allow me to Address My Fellow Anti-Dr. Who Brethren,
Brothers, Sisters, Lend me your Ears/Eyes. I have learned long ago that you cannot beat the Cult of Dr. Who. They spend far more time in front of the computer than we do, watching BBC streams and correcting wikis. Fanboys/girls treat every negative Dr. Who Post as a Call to Arms and will descend upon you with their skewed statistics and specific dates of print (“we only get one every other week” yeah, name any other franchise that gets that love? even ones with much bigger fan-bases dont get that kind of frequency) like that tribe in the Eaters of the Dead. They tell us simply to “go to other sites” but why should we have to? do they not see that we have the same loyalty to Ript (for the selection and quality of tee) that they do their beloved show? So my friends i’ll leave you with this; going up against the Dr. is like trying to ice skate uphill, it can be done but it’s going to be a huge pain in the a**.

I realized i have probably painted a target on my back. But please believe there’s no trolling here, and hopefully not too much haterade…

people who are complaining must realize they did this on a vote. If you didn’t like the shirt then spread the word and have others vote for another shirt as well so it brings another shirt. Sorry to say that The who fandom is very big right now, including myself. Just think of it this way..The fad could’ve been twilight..

TBH I love all the Doctor who shirts they have on here, along with a lot of other game referenced shirts. I can’t say I like every shirt that’s been on here, but that’s when I see the shirt thats available that day and go meh, and move on. It’s not a DW shirt EVERY DAY. There are tons more that are available here. Congrats to the artist for the reprint. Free hugs all around!

That MAY be because it’s true. Since October 1, there have been 11 Doctor Who shirts and 1 Torchwood shirt. And FIFTEEN Star Wars shirts. (There was also one Doctor Who/Star Wars shirt.) Yet I never see anyone complaining that there are too many Star Wars shirts.

So 6-7% of the shirts here are Star Wars (and 5-6% of them are Doctor Who). Fact is, Ript could probably keep afloat on just SW and DW shirts, but they are clearly making an effort to keep those huge fandoms from dominating the site, and they only account for 10% of the shirts here. So, really, free hugs for the Ript people, and the haters can stuff it.

@D4N13L – ranting aside, You have a really cool art style and definitely crank out some dope shirts. Impossible astronaut would be an instant purchase. And dont let me (especially me) or other non-whovians take anything away from you, getting voted to the top means that you’re on top of your game.
As a little fan request could you incorporate the text-picture theme into something Arnold related? He has so many good lines and yet The governator gets no love (except from the house keepers). I’ll buy 10. Stay Golden.

I am confused. It seems like every day there are people complaining about Dr Who shirts, and people insisting that there aren’t printed very often. But if they aren’t printed very often, why are we always in this debate??

That said, I do enjoy Dr. Who, however I have already bought one and want more variety in my wardrobe. I like the design- would love to see the same style applied to other things too!

@MightyHogan, thanks and don’t worry about it, I am not that big fan of Doctor Who myslef, I just happen to be a huge fan of Christopher Eccleston and I think this he was awesome as a Doctor. All this hatred towards DW designs do have a very minimum impact in me because I’m here for the art, baby! and by art I mean the massive amount of bucks I’ll be getting with this one :D haha, *crossing fingers*. Just kidding, I do LOVE doing art and I thank God I can do it and get paid for doing what I love :)

D4N13L, I for one am glad this got the reprint. I was in the hospital in November last year when this came out and I was so upset that I missed it.

I’m sort of surprised that having a Who shirt would cause such an uproar on here. I understand both sides of the debate and personally don’t care what shirts pop here on what day. That reason being is I know of at least 6 different shirt-a-day websites, plus 2 more rotating shirt sites. I even have all of them presented in one nice neat package on one website that I won’t name, but I’m sure is easy to find. There are shirts everywhere, it’s just that simple. Besides, ya’ll know the saying – “You can please some of the people some of the time, but not all the people all of the time.” Still, I’m so happy I got a second chance at this shirt, so thanks to Ript and the Ript community for helping bring it back for ONE DAY ONLY!!!

@Courtney S – Hey love, thanks for taking the time to read what i said throughly and then proceed to thoroughly prove my point. you know since i used the words “crazy” and “Obsessed” like you said i did. The internet streams comment is in reference to the fact that your show is not really shown stateside, albeit for some scifi channel exposure, so most fans spend time streaming it.
I’m also sorry you have a problem with stars wars not getting hated on here, but as a self-adorned geek you should know that star wars is always the elephant in the room with quite possibly the biggest mainstream following. I do respect your opinion in the fact that RIPT could survive off those two alone, however i’m happy that they dont. I’m sorry to sound contrite but i’ve already given you more attention than you deserve, keep trolling.

I’ve never seen anyone complain they need to print more Star Wars shirts following the printing of a Star Wars shirt. I have seen that with Dr. Who shirts.

I’ll be honest, I never realized there were that many Star Wars shirts being printed. But that’s probably because no one brings up Star Wars when that day isn’t a Star Wars shirt.
