Life of a RIPT T-Shirt

    I love love love it!!

    Keone

    Damnit, I’m broke :(

    Lindsey

Oh my god I love this so much. I am gonna get it for myself. Orange isn’t my color but god this made me laugh SO hard.

    Famousafterdeath

I hope everyone enjoys this shirt. I loved creating it. I also really loved eating companion cubes for breakfast and playing portal 2.

    I’m in space. Spaaace!

    Joshtheman

The best part is the orange.

    Rat

    I’m totally buying one!

Question to anyone that’s bought from Ript. How much do the shirts shrink? The size chart shows the medium fitting perfect, but if it shrinks, the large will be better. I just don’t want to miss out on this design. :D

    BlinkinCard41

    This t-shirt is brilliant.

Rat: I find RIPT shirts bigger than most tees. My Mediums from here are pretty big, it seems. So if you’re deciding between M or L, I say M.
Myself, I may have to buy this too. Only bummer is how long it can take for printing/delivery. The game is already out and I’ve beaten both single-player and co-op.

GOOD GOD I NEED THIS IN MY LIFE <3

@ Rat – they don’t shrink much, but the quality of the shirts is REALLY shitty. They’re extra thin, coarse weave, so after just one wash (cold water, careful wash, no spin, no tumble dry) they look all stressed and washed out, like the threads are coming apart.

Pro-tip to Ript – TeeFury does a high quality shirt for the same price. You need to too.

    Stefan

    Luis is right.

The quality is not the best, though it already has improved. I have one tee that is totally disformed, on one the print came off, and on an other one the seam frazzles.

Please make quality tees, because some designs are just awsome, but to only wear them once can not be the deal!

I’ve been a buyer from Teefury for a while now, but this shirt just made me fall in love with Ript! My first Ript purchase, and it was an INSTA-BUY

Give someone a free hug today
I find they shrink so I go a size bigger
I bleed blue & Orange for my DB & WW

Awesome shirt, but the other’s are right. The quality of RIPT shirts is pretty bad, nowhere near the quality of Teefury. It’s a buy for me, but I’m expecting it to fall apart after a couple washes.

    Tyler

I really, REALLY want to make this purchase, but I’m disheartened by the posters on here who mention the quality. If the tee is going to be destroyed after a few washes, I just can’t see myself making the purchase (I would wear this shirt EXTREMELY often).

I’m pretty disappointed, this is an amazing design and I’d buy it if quality weren’t an issue.

    Matt

I’ve found all my Ript shirts to be better than Teefury ones in time. This shirt is awesome.

    J

Is there anyone that can vouch for the quality of RIPT’s shirt material?

    Cannibalistic Unicorn

Personally I have not had a problem with Ript shirts.
If anything, As a girl with an irregular shape, I was quite happy at how it was able to fit well and I like that they’re longer than most shirts.
One has kept its elasticity longer than Teefury shirts. And no damage to any designs as of yet.

Anyways, I love this design. The contrast of colors is awesome. I feel like I NEED to have this. I’ll have to deposit some money in the morning right away :P

Hey the orange is great, it says your \Slick\!

    Chico

    Just bought it!

Great idea. Would have been awesome to say something about the orange box though.

A friend once said to dry clean your T-shirts as they will last longer and look brighter longer….

I didnt even think about the orange box matching this.
That’s an awesome point. Now I got some more ideas to throw at this.
    Thanks.

    caffeineinfusedpocky

gonna buy this as soon as i get some money on a card today!!!

and what about the quality? aren’t these printed on American Apparel?

    sladebug

Yeah, the shirts don’t shrink to much. As to the quality, I dunno when you guys have been getting your shirts, but I’ve gotten a few in the last few months and their quality has been pretty good. I’ve worn all four of them several times already.

    gwen

re: quality, I got my first Ript shirt yesterday. Haven’t washed it yet but it’s thinner than Teefury, Qwertee, and Woot shirts. Longer than their sizes (Ript Medium M is as long as Qwertee XXL M), but I like the fit better (the neck isn’t as tight).

Still, I do want this shirt. Haven’t gotten Portal 2 yet but am loving Portal. >.<

    Heidi Poe

Oh my god, I told myself I would NOT buy a dorky video game shirt this year….

DAMN YOU FOR MAKING ME BREAK MY NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTION ♥ ♥ ♥

(Wheatley’s name always made me think of the Wheaties box, so this is soooo perfect for me)

I have 2 RIPT shirts: “Weeping Angel Part 2″ and “Horcrux Collectors Club” and they’re both fine. The “Horcrux” shirt I’ve had for a few months, multiple washes, and the shirt is holding up well and the design is intact. You guys DO know to keep the prints perfect longer you’re supposed to turn the shirts inside-out prior to washing, right? This makes all the difference on every tee shirt ever. If you guys follow the washing instructions: “Machine wash warm inside out with like colors, use only non-chlorine bleach. Tumble dry low” your shirts should last.

As for the shrinkage I’ve had no issues, and in fact, I pulled out my “Angels” shirt to tell you: “Made in Pakistan, Printed in the USA. Pre-shrunk 100% combed ring spun cotton.” It fits great and I don’t know if its American Apparel, RIPT has their own tags in the shirts now. blah, blah, blah.

As for this shirt: HOLY CRAP I NEED THIS.

    Joey

While this shirt is really awesome, the general consensus of Ript’s quality has deterred me from buying one.

    Jan Brett

Hey, I have about a dozen shirts that pretty decent quality. But I guess girls are not as tough on clothes as guys. (Just wish there were more good graphic designs. Sci-fi and video games are so tired ) Anyway, if you love the shirt so much. but more than one! They are only $10!

I have never bought a teefury shirt, but have bought 2 ript shirts. Before they switched printers to the Mammoth Printshop, the tee was a little rough. Now that they had switched the quality is really great, they have a cool tag, and I have washed my shirt a ton without any hassle. I have even contacted Mammoth to print a shirt I designed for a local organization and the people who received the shirt are in love.
I would say go for it!

    Rat

Well, I placed my order. :D

Went with the medium, hoping it won’t shrink too much. My build is weird… If I could order M/L I would.

    Otherwise, GREAT design. Thanks again!

    Anthony Lucynski

Rat – These shirts are poor, poor quality. First one I bought was poked to death, and I wear an X-Large. When i got it, it barely covered my tummy (any slight raising of my arms and you were seeing my undershirt). So the next shirt I bought (the TMNT Siloutte one) I got extra extra large to make up for the fact that the XL is too small. The print job was crap, and like it has been mentioned, it’s a really thin fabric. It really sucks because I’m not buying from this site anymore. Like it has been mentioned, Teefury does it better at the same price…but they don’t have this design :( I’d love to buy from Ript again but the shirts just suck in quality. Ugh.

    JC

I’m not sure how the other posters are washing their garments, but my RIPT shirts have held up just fine (gentle cycle, brief tumble dry, then line dry). My last purchase was the Who? shirt – which did not have a RIPT tag, but a manufacturer name – seemed of better quality, although still thinner than TF.

    Chelle

    RE: RIPT QUALITY

I have 3-4 shirts from here. No issues whatsoever.

    Jen

I really want this shirt, but that color looks horrid on me :/

Also its starting to sound like the bigger the size, the shittier the quality/thinner the shirt.

    evil_edTee

Well, I own the TMNT-shirt that Anthony Lucynski mentioned, too. It’s an XXL. I could wear XL, but I prefer XXL as it covers up my extra pounds a bit… ;) I’ve washed the shirt and wore it afterwards – as far as I can tell after having washed it only once (international shipping REALLY takes a lot of time!) the quality is perfectly fine.

All my RIPT tees are being washed right now, so I can’t check the following before typing, but here goes:
As far as I remember the material is slightly thinner, but also softer than the one of TeeFury-shirts. I’d say it’s more a question of preference than of higher or lower quality. They all seam good to me. I’ve bought 5 RIP tees so far, 3 of which I already received, 2 of them I have worn. Didn’t have any problems with them whatsoever. The print looks good and the fabric feels good too – at least so far, I only own them for a short while. However I’m not worried from what I read above. Will keep buying from RIPT as well as from TeeFury whenever I like a design.

Just my 50 cents – maybe it helps someone who’s still undecided. I say go for it. After all, they really aren’t expensive – so I suggest: buy one to see the quality and judge for yourself. They are well wort the money in my opinion. :)

    Cheers! ^^

    evil_edTee

Of course I meant to write “5 RIPT tees” – NOT “5 RIP tees”!! Funny typo, especially in the context of quality! I did NOT mean to imply anything negative about RIPT’s quality!! I like their tees. :)

    Cheers! ^^

Third RIPT tee I’ll be owning. The shirt quality I’ve seen so far has been good. The print quality seems to be amazing, but I can’t say how long they hold up over time. Either way, I like supporting the artists, and this is just an awesome shirt.

    hoser

since this is the day for shirt feedback, yes they do seem to run small. go a size or 2 up.
yes the shirts are a little thin, but hey its a t-shirt.
i want to add that the prints seem a little small. when i saw the designs on the shirt in the promo pic on the site, it covers a much larger area than when it actually shows up.
i am buying todays, but i have a feeling when it gets here and i put it on, it will not cover that much area.
still love the designs, and hard to beat 10 bucks for a sweet shirt.
it may not last forever, but you should be finding newer, sweet shirts during that time. this is not a lifemate. it is clothing.

    Visual Singularities

Never had a problem with the shirt quality myself, nice and comfortable. Congrats on the print!

    Famousafterdeath

Thanks to everyone who enjoyed this and purchased a shirt. This is a wonderful website for artist to get exposure. Thank you ript. This shirt got around tumblr like swims fire. Awesome day of rapture!!!!
