Epic Seinfeld shirt!!! If it wasn’t on black I would so snag one. Though I know that the design wouldn’t be the same without it.

I love the Seinfeld, but I don’t the specific reference.
Nikorp
Excellent character illustrations.
Hooligan
Pretty sure it’s a Seinfeld/Beatles album cover (“With The Beatles”) mashup.

What is the specific reference?
Jacob
This is great. I require more Seinfeld themed shirts!
universalcode
yes, a beatles reference. they were a part of ‘the british invasion.’ run a google image search on ‘the beatles’ and it’s likely the first image you see.
Gil
I don’t get why it’s not The Manhattan Invasion.
Syntax
Well this makes no sense as the characters on the show were from Manhattan. Big fail.
/b
yeah, this makes no sense. they all live in manhattan, jerry and george are from queens, elaine is from maryland, and kramer is from mars.
i’d love a good seinfeld shirt, but this one isn’t it.
Andrew
You guys are jerks. It says Brooklyn Invasion because Brooklyn and British start with a ‘B’ and have 2 syllables. ‘Manhattan’ starts with an M and has 3. Hardly anyone would get the ‘British Invasion’ reference if he put ‘Mahattan Invasion’.

First Seinfeld themed shirt I’ve seen here. Looks great!
Garry Lee
Would have made more sense to say “With The Seinfelds”, and for the picture to be of Jerry, his mum, dad and Uncle Leo. Now that I’d buy in an instant.
choptop
@Andrew: Yes, that’s why it doesn’t work. You shouldn’t shoe-horn a joke like that.
Paul-RIPT Tees
It works just fine, sheesh.
nicole
it’s not a good mashup if it doesn’t make sense. you can’t just throw together terms cause the “sound like they make sense” when they don’t. there’s no brooklyn connection to seinfeld — that’s why everyone’s confused. epic fail.

Agreed epic fail. The Jewish invasion would have been better.

Give the designer a free ‘nother try.
Falcon_Punch
How did this get printed? Auto traces of the actors faces? That’s lazy AND a massive infringement of the actors’ image rights.
MightyHogan
I’m just happy to see a Seinfeld shirt. Everyone says it’s not working but i almost want it just for the faces. More Seinfeld Please, that show is a gold mine for awesome shirts!

The real Jerry was born in Brooklyn, and it’s his show that was becoming so popular. If the Beatles had starred in a show where they lived somewhere else, would they still not be invading brits?
/b
@uchiha if mccartney had been born in france but moved to liverpool when very young, would that have made the beatles invading frenchmen?
DreamTripper
Shirt doesn’t make sense, I agree, but wouldn’t buy it anyway. It’s a good design and idea, and if they were ALL from Brooklyn, it might make sense, but I hated the show. I like Jerry Seinfeld, and pre-racist-meltdown Michael Richards, but Seinfeld was one of the most asinine sitcoms ever. And I can’t stand Jason Alexander.
CPF
Burbic pedantry aside – they invaded their own country? This whole theme makes no sense considering the tone of the show was one of victimization – they were the ones that constantly complained of the national culture impeding them. And then their popularity derived from “look at those nebs/fatties/weirdos struggling.” No Brooklyn, no invasion.
Mitch
this shirt is sooooooooooooo cool. i just bought a hundred of them. Seinfeld shirts for everyone

Thanks for all the feedback regardless of the negativity. @Andrew at least someone gets it. Just happy that it got picked!
Elm_Tree
I’m sorry for all the negativity on the page, what can I say, they’re Seinfeld fans! And on the internet too, so perhaps not the best in the showing of tact. The Beatles design is really iconic, easily recognized just by the half faces… so I’m sure whatever’s on the text doesn’t take away from it!
I understand to match the Beatles’ design, “B” was used… but I think a “Manhattan Invasion” would be even cooler, since they really did invade the island and is more in line with the sitcom, as diehards know. (Plus Elaine is from MD) And the Beatles half faces are so iconic, instantly recognizable (at least for me) I think changing the text wouldn’t affect the reference if you ever considered it in the future!
Awesome shirt regardless, thanks for sharing.
