A Moogle We Can Believe In

That looks like a cat dressed up for halloween. If it didn’t say Kupo, I would have no idea what it was supposed to be.

I love your guys shirts, but at little under 16$ for a 2XL it kills me, thats 4$ more then Teefury. I would love to buy more shirts, but I just cant afford it.

Hey everyone. Thanks so much for printing my design. I’ve tried a few designs/sites but this is my first so crossing my fingers that you guys like it. Thanks so much for supporting independent artists and for giving us a chance to get our work out there. I put a lot of work into this design trying to mix my own style as well as incoprporate some tings from the original poster. Big thanks to Shepard Fairey, Square-Enix and anyone who loves Moogles. I would agree that the face does look a little bit odd but it’s a good design so ignore the unhelpful comments and well done on getting printed!

It’s a fun concept but I have to agree with the others, the face proportions are a bit off and it resembles a kitten more than anything. But I like the idea and so far so good, just needs more improvement. Grats!

I’d love to buy this shirt… but you simply don’t sell it in 5X. I don’t think you’re really supporting your demographic, guys.

Give someone a free critique today because both the artist and the website need to know what the customers are thinking if they wish to survive, no? So…as directly as I can, I will agree that this is “one ugly shirt” and “another dumb obama slogan shirt”. Some disagree on the ugliness factor but how can you determine any originality from this overly used style? Good luck in the future, Eldermoon.

Totally agree with redeye. What’s the point of comments if people can’t express an opinion only because it’s negative?
Negative feedback it’s the best thing if you want to improve something.

Of course people should try to be constructive and not just write that the design sucks.

The face is far too much like a humans, moogles have a very spherical head whereas you gave this one a mutated butt-chin. The nose should be more disconnected and look like a sphere placed on it’s face rather that what you have which is a feline nose bulging from the face. Also, the Obama style is terrible, I didn’t even like it when Obama used it, it just ruins a good picture. Moogles are supposed to look inhuman but here you have some sort of Moogle-Human hybrid that ends up looking unlike either and, as some have pointed out, ends up looking like a chubby kitten. If this had been just a plain-old, run of the mill Moogle with the word Kupo below it, I would have bought it instantly, without a second thought. Not trying to be mean Eldermoon, I honestly hope that if you read this you take it as constructive criticism, good luck with future designs!

Well every moogle’s look has changed throughout the histoy of final fantasy, I tried to approach it as a realistic creature, since the Obama poster has a very filtered photograph look, I wanted to do the same. Frankly I think the fact that people think it looks like a cat-person hybrid is exactly what I was shooting for when I originally made the design. Thus I had to make a moogle out of my favorite parts from the various iterations they’ve had over the years, as well as choose some features that helped it to fit the same look as the original poster. I chose the smaller nose from the later series (such as in crystal chronicles) as it seemed to make the moogle more realistic than the giant round one on many early variants. Thanks again for all the feedback and critique, unfortunately not everyone is gonna like the same moogle, in fact thats why they change every game, and this is the one that wound up on the shirt. I didn’t just want to take a screen shot of a moogle and run it through some photoshop filters, it was more fun sketching it out, but I hope to take the comments into consideration and keep trying to get more designs up. Shepard Fairey spin-offs, ugh. If you want to get printed, copy a Shepard Fairey. I don’t think this shirt is clever at all. It just doesn’t work as a shirt; it’s too big and rectangular. Also, dat left eye, haha.
