Life of a RIPT T-Shirt

    Simple design, but wonderful nonetheless.
    Love it!

I think you all should go with orignal designs like this more often, oppose to movie/tv show reference shirts. I just feel that if you continue to go with shirts that are always towards a reference such as star trek, star wars, Lost, Frenge, etc… you will lose out on customers. Don’t get me wrong I love my evil Mario sewage shirt, awesome design by the way; but I stopped looking at this site for a week or so a month ago because of the amount of shirts that were reference shirts that I either didn’t relate to or didn’t like enough to purchase. And I missed out on sweet shirts such as the State/Moive reference shirt which was keller idea and design. Definitely don’t stop doing reference shirts but I think the more variety of shirts you have on here the more diverse customers you will have. Which in turn become walking advertisement

I agree with J. The thirty seconds I spend each day checking to see if I like that days design is wasted. Nah, just kidding. I wasted more time writing this than it takes to check the site. Keep up the good work.

Yeah, J’s right. I mean, there’s no other t-shirt sites on the whole of the internet that cater towards other kinds of shirts, and the few seconds I spend looking at a design and deciding against it is something I’ll never get back! I, too, will threaten to not visit again unless my demands are met, as I am one person whose interest keeps this site alive! Secretly, I will continue to visit, however.

I agree with J and I am not being a sarcastic ass. Like he said, don’t stop printing shirts with references to pop culture, but at the same time, please don’t go weeks at a time with nothing but those shirts. It’s the shirts like today’s design that got me hooked in the first place, so please please please print more of these original concepts. That is all.

I can see *people above’s* point but there are also people that are the opposite of what J & Crew are saying, I personaly come here for the pop culture shirts. So my opinion would be not to change up and just make shirts as they come to you, who am I to tell you how to do your thing. Just keep up the good work!

support of independent artists is the one thing that draws me so close to this site. Please don’t stop doing original pieces of art like this. I am in agreement with all these guys above me… i like some references on tees. Even if i don’t know all the references! But some good art on a tee is great! thanks for printing this tee! beautifully done design! :)

And can we stop the reference non reference debate now please?

Guys, some of us prefer artsy shirts, others prefer shirts with pop-culture-references. RIPT does both – it’s good as it is. If you want to see a new artsy shirt every day (and still not miss out on getting to see the daily RIPT-shirt), you just need to load 1 single page that shows the most popular daily-shirt-pages all at ones – among them also RIPT:

    http://www.teemagnet.com/

They include a countdown to when the shirts will be taken off the pages and even some coupons for some online-shops for apparel. Worth checking out. So, if you don’t like the media references, check other pages additionally – you’ll find new things practically all the time.

I for one almost solely care for the pop-culture-references – there’s always a detail in the artsy ones, that I don’t like, so I almost never buy an artsy one, but I often buy pop-culture-referenced shirts… ;)

Just my view on the matter. :)

Today’s shirt is not for me, but you won’t see me complain. :)

    Cheers! ^^

You guys are awesome…. Love the doctoral thesis ;)

And thanks for giving me even more shirts to stalk *giggles*

I like original designs and sometimes also a good mashup. But most important is an appealing artwork, and I’m missing that often.

Other Shirtshops only print 1-2 new shirts every month while selecting from dozens of artists. Sure those shirts have a much better qualitiy on average, but on the other hand theres a lot of shirts I would have bought which they don’t print. So here I’m on RIPT getting the opportunity to buy all the shirts that are there and every few month I’m doing just that, accepting the many shirts I don’t like.

    Donny

Nice original design. I think I would have liked it better if it was off-set instead of centered though. Nice to see a non pop culture reference for a change. Even though I love some of those too.

    Mandy Deiters

I love this shirt TJ!! I’m officially buying my first RIPT shirt!!

    D4N13L

Very nice TJ!! nice and simple, melikes!
Agree with the peeps stating you should print more original stuff andnot so much pop culture designs. I’ll be subbing some artsy stuff very soon :)
    Go RIPT!

    BAMBOOTA

Awesome design! I love the colors and the weathering! :D

    t. standish

Nice design and what I want to see more of. An original design. I don’t mind the pop-culture stuff but it does get a bit old. especially the obscure stuff. i nice mix is what is needed.

This debate is endless, different strokes for different folks. buy em if you like them, better luck tomorrow if you dont. Dont Ever Change RIPT

    Paul-RIPT Tees

It’s hard to change when you just do what you want every day! ^___^

Love this original art and would love to see more art for art’s sake. Great art is great art! I will buy 2 of these, but would love to see it on a cool natural or faded shirt. Grey is …well….grey!

    evil_edTee

    @DragonTears: You’re welcome, hehe. :D

@t. standish: I agree about the nice mix – but I think that’s what we already have! :) Media references getting old – well, that’s a matter of taste. However you said “especially the obscure stuff” – now that I don’t quite get. I haven’t seen an actually really obscure pop-culture-theme or even -character featured on any shirt since I started continuously monitoring many daily-tee-sites at once for their knew tees through TeeMagnet.com – and I’ve gone through the galleries of each of their backprogram too. Can’t think of a single really obscure pop-culture-reference there. When looking just now I actually found 1 (!) – but hey, how is that “getting old”?? You lost me there… ;)

Glad we actually are getting a mix here at RIPT – no reason for me to complain. :) But I wouldn’t want it to change either… ;)

    Cheers! ^^

can we have some kind of note towards the end to see how this sold compared to some of the others that are more pop? seems to be a lot of opinion on art/reference/cash/popularity.
not to take away from the shirt. its cool. lots of music comes from natural things… woodwinds anyone?

    Paul-RIPT Tees

We will not be publicly displaying sales data anytime soon ^^__^^

    Chibibinx

I hope the ppl that wanted artsy shirts do pass by today :)
I love the color tones, way better than the 1st time I saw this

Congrats on a great print :)

    CASEY

I do like original designs. I love pop culture references. This is a nice image, but I don’t understand. Is an acoustic guitar green somehow?

It misses the mark for me, it isn’t clever. It doesn’t say anything that I can tell. It is well done, and looks good, but this site is where I come for pop culture/ironic humor.

    Good job to the designer.

    the dude abides

as a guitarist who is all about peace, love, and happiness, i absolutely love this shirt

first day i check out this website, and first shirt i’ve ever bought online. <3
