Sad Face
today is a sad day , i cant afford the shirt , i hate this 1 day system tbh. I think without doubt they miss out on sales because of it. It drums up interest sure but it also means people who like me right now cant afford this shirt until wednesday now know they wont get the shirt.
Wouldnt 1 week for each shirt be better , give people time to get the money.
very depressed and honestly makes me want to come here less as i dont want to see awesome shirts i cant afford in the 24hr limit because like today its a total bummer.
Wednesday i CAN afford this BUT i now wont be able to buy it which means ript lose out on a sale , in a world where most of us get paid weekly seems daft to put something up for only 24hrs
gutted

@Sad Face
You know, most people aren’t actually so broke that they can’t put up around 20 dollars (t-shirt+shipping to Europe) when they really need to. Hell, I’m unemployed and I’m able to afford a RIPT shirt whenever I see one that catches my eye. You might want to try to not waste all your money and actually have a financial plan if you know you might find something you really want.

This shirt is a design I have seen on a different website. I’m sorry, but fail.

perhaps before proclaiming this shirt a ripoff and a fail you could, I don’t know, do the research. Jonah Block = Biotwist = originator of this design

@Derp
well im on minimum wage and have other people to take care of and rent amongst alot of other stuff. Believe it or not sometimes £11 isnt something everyone has all the time to spare on a t shirt. No different from alot of other people. Anyway enough of that i dont want to start something up that isnt worth it : )
Yes i’ll put money aside in future BUT still wouldnt a week be a better timeframe for everyone. I know they arnt going to change but it just doesnt make any sense to me. A week is still a very short timeframe for anything to be up for sale, they dont need to be advertising the shirt on the main page after the initial 24hr period just Still a new t shirt everyday but a week to sell them. There’s no way anyone could tell me that they wouldnt make more money that way. I just get frustrated as the longer timeframe would allow me in particular ot buy more shirts and i presume that i cant be the only one. Of course this is assuming they print by order otherwise they’d probably have shirts left over each time so its not as if they would lose out by producing too much because im guessing thats not how they operate.
anyway whatever, its just a shirt in the end.
Sad Face
@Derp
One more thing too , You said you were unemployed. Thats the crazy thing i work all day and i cant afford it because i have to pay for rent , bus fare, and every one of lifes other bills.
You can because you actually are probably better off lol this isnt me having a go at you. JObs are very hard to get today, just makes me laugh how screwed up life can be sometimes lol

How long does it take to get a shirt (live in the USA) it’s been over a week for me and nothing.

I’ve gotta agree with Sadface here, I work for Min Wage too, and with that it’s nice to have some time to say, “hey I want that, let me save up for it and pay for it” I mean him saying that he can’t afford it might actually be financial planning, for example I have the funds to buy this T shirt, but that wouldn’t be prudent of me right now.
Not annoyed at anyone or attacking anyone, but just because he’s upset he can’t afford the T shirt doesn’t neccessarily mean he’s bad about keeping his money in check.

from the ript website
Why do you only sell one shirt a day for only 24 hours?
Our one-a-day sales model is an exciting opportunity to promote discovery of new artists while also creating potential collector’s items that customers can wear with pride. There’s nothing quite like being there at the start of a great artist’s career.

Don’t know why everyone is all hot and bothered about whether or not they can afford this shirt. Like the rest of the RIPT designs for the last several months, it’s a rip-off of two or more pop culture references, needlessly thrown into a mashup. Furthermore, I don’t know how this company does not get the pants sued off of it each and every day for infringement.
It reminds me often of the Southpark explanation of how a Family Guy episode is made. Manatees… its all in the manatees.
In any event, this is a tired idea and is not at all clever or inspired. Now a Pokeball in place of the Deathstar on a hoverboard wearing an Indiana Jones hat! CLASSIC!
Please bring back original art designs and I will be glad to give you my money.

Hey Sadface:
I know it sucks to be poor… been there, so I feel ya. Here’s what you can do. Most of the artists have a link to their websites where you can buy their art there continually. It looks like this guy might just do prints, but that would still look cool hanging up in any living room!
Some of the other artists do tee shirts and other various methods of distributing their art. It may be more expensive, but it extends the time you have to save and buy what you want :)
As far as your logic though, sites like these operate on turnover. If a design is unsuccessful, no skin off their back. If it’s highly successful, they make tons of money and the artist makes more through links to their site. Keeping each shirt up for a week would only work better should they still put up a new shirt each day but keep each shirt active for a week. Not sure if you meant what I just described, or one shirt per week. Best of luck!
Katatak
Sadface- I read your other comment, so I see now that you did mean a new shirt each day, up for a week. Great idea, but there would still be the issue of printing. They tend to print once all orders are taken in. They wouldn’t want to print batches of each shirt daily, so everyone would have to wait a week before shirts would even be printed. Oh well, link to the artists sites, I’m sure you can get a print of this!
