Maybe it is just me but shirts designs are not what they used to be here at RIPT.
This is for children.
Apart from that, and with all due respect for the artist, a T-shirt design should be more than just an illustration, it should be a DESIGN.
For a T-shirt.
No one is holding a gun to your head and making you buy the shirts, Bob. If I don’t like a particular design, I just don’t say anything – and usually the comment field is filled with comments of people that DO like it. That’s the nice thing about RIPT – if you don’t like design, you don’t have to buy it, and you only have to wait 24 hours until a new one is available!!!
If you feel so strongly that RIPT has gone downhill, I wish you luck in starting your own company.
@rug: I appreciate your feelings about Bob’s comment (esp since he does seem to have a shirt site), but you are a representative of RIPT, so what I got out of your comment (as both a customer and blogger who recommends your site all the time) is that if I ever say anything that isn’t a compliment in the comments I’ll get called out … by the company. I think people need to feel comfortable posting constructive criticism here, the “take your business elsewhere” model is somewhat off putting, and you weren’t even talking to me.

I was just a little hung over when I came in this morning and it seems like everyone has to chip in their two cents about “wish the shirt was in x color”, so on and so forth. I guess my comment was more towards “the masses” who say stuff like that, and Bob was the easy target at the time. And since I have zero art skills, maybe everyone would be better off listening to him instead of me after all! I definitely could have phrased that a little less combative though.

On a side note…what are you guys talking about when you bring up the URL? I’ve never typed anything in that field.
