I was born and raised in West Michigan, but I currently live in Indiana and attend the Art Institute of Indianapolis for Graphic Design.
My grandfather was an artist and seeing his artwork inspired me to create artwork of my own. Also, watching cartoons while growing up inspired me to recreate my favorite characters from shows such as Pokemon and Dragon Ball Z. Once I learned I could recreate those characters, I moved on to creating my own characters and my own drawings.
This shirt design is created in a style that I learned in high school. It’s the idea of creating a “design within a design”. My art teacher assigned a project that required me to create a design within a design and I loved it. I’ve been drawing this way ever since then.
The meaning of this design is up for interpretation. It doesn’t have a specific meaning. Clearly it is a revolver and the design includes all sorts of different symbols which each contain different meanings. I think the viewer should decide what the design means to them.
