No love for the brown huh? I picked brown cuz I liked the way the greens looked on it. As a designer I wanted something a little more unique and complex color wise than just putting it on the standard dark color shirt.
But I do understand if you don’t like a color of shirt it’s hard to grab it even if you like the design. I’ve been there before too!
Yeah the design is awesome, and yes brown works with the design image-wise (it looks cool as a picture/background image); however, brown isn’t a universally wearable color. For one, I’m black, so a brown t-shirt looks kinda strange on me. Wearing a shirt thats almost the same color as your skin is like a bad optical illusion… If they re-release this on a neutral color (black, white, gray, hell even blue) I’ll buy 10 of them.
I hear ya Brad, I’m a graphic designer and illustrator and just getting into apparel design,this is only my second shirt so your comment is appreciated. Shirt color is definitely something I’ll consider much earlier in the design process next time.
I love the idea (being the younger sib and therefore always P2), but I wish the shirt gave more of a hint that it’s because Luigi’s P2 that he’s depressed. I have a hunch this is one of those shirts that everyone’s going to think is just a crack at Luigi, and no one’s going to get without an explanation =(

This shirt was inspired by me playing Super Mario Brothers Wii with my son who loves Luigi. I was telling him that back in the day two player couldn’t play at the same time so if you were player two (usually reserved for the younger sibling) you just had to wait, and wait and wait…
