Well I mean, how do you even pronounce that name? Is it Spanglish or something?
I’m a little bit offended by these questions. This interview is not off to a great start…
Well tell us about the tee then? Were you listening to a lot of Elliott Smith when you came up with this?
It’s a broken Valentine’s Day heart candy. I thought it might make sense since the dreaded day is coming up. I always liked the idea of twisted heart candies with funny phrases on them or overtly dirty ones. This was my take on it. I dunno, it’s kind of emo I guess, and who likes Elliott Smith anyway? It was kind of hard to get the broken areas just right, and still make it look recognizable as a heart candy. I think I kind of pulled it off but if I had more time I could probably perfect it.
So what’s with the name huh?
Christ! OK Devil + Alien equals DIABLIEN. Does that help? It’s not that hard, is it. I call it logic…
Talk about anti-climactic…
We’ll see if I design any shirts for you guys again!
