Love the concept I don’t really like the digital look though.

Can someone please help me out here? Is this a Doctor Who reference? I don’t watch the show myself (although I probably should), but my step brother is a huge fan and if this is I would like to get it for him. Thank you so much and please forgive me for my ignorance ;)

Elizabeth: The guy on the right is an 8-bit version of the silly-looking enemy garbage can robot, from Dr. Who. Not sure why he’s going against Space Invaders. I think I would like the shirt more if it was just three space invaders.

The character on the right is a dalek, one of the recurring villains of the Doctor. The space invaders are a play on the fact that the daleks are aliens and thus space invaders themselves. It is a great gift for a Doctor Who fan and quite an inventive and humorous design.

^_^ The Daleks are on a whole new level.

That dalek looks like a Jim Hansen Muppet with a hard-on to me…

So it’s obviously a Dalek on the right and it looks like an Ood on the left, is that guy in the middle the space invader then? I didn’t play that game much, Haha. Love the shirt though, very cute :)

believe it or not, I want to say good things about these shirts but it seems like they’ve all been Harry Potter or Dr. Who lately. Yesterday’s was choice. This one looks like a shirt on the clearance rack at Target, not very stunning.

I think the figure in the middle is a cyberman.

loving that 8-bit is getting some attention ^^ im not a fan of the dr. but id like to see more 8-bit :)

Whats with all of the Dr. Who stuff? Last time I checked that show does not run in the states… not at a time when people are conscience anyway. How about RIPT starts publishing things we all can enjoy again? Maybe a Tron t? Zombies? Original art maybe (now thats an idea!)?

@redeye & @Megan Lara : Count me one of the people who enjoyed this shirt design and did pick this up today. It reminds me of the awesome Hot Topic gamer shirts of the late 90′s/early 2000′s!

I feel bad, though, for the RIPT staff and the artists sometimes because of some of the comments posted here. Everyone, including me, is going to have their own opinions, but some of the complaints get old – “Another zombie? Another Star Wars? Another unoriginal idea?(Eyes on one in particular here)” What’s great about this site and all other one-a-day-shirt sites is – if you don’t like the day’s design, there’s always tomorrow. If the design of the day isn’t what would be considered a masterpiece to some, it is to others. If the comments need anything, how about some constructive criticism, hmmm. And now the floor is open…lol.

So what if you don’t like the days design? Just look again tomorrow. It’s a great way of new artists to get a look in. Why moan? Life’s too short to groan about the design on a tshirt, surely??

LOL@Josh! Yes, Doctor Who does air in the US. I guess you didn’t look very hard when you did your checking. Anyway, what do you care whether it airs here. DW shirts typically sell well, so they obviously have a lot of fans. Stop threadcrapping, please.

I like the design, just wish it were a little bigger to take up more of the shirt. Clever idea.
