To commemorate RIPT Apparel’s first shirt, we decided to post a quick photo-blog revealing some behind-the-scenes shots of how Melostar’s “More Trees For Birds” was created.
Melostar’s “More Trees For Birds” design was a one-color print spread across the center chest of the tee. Being a one-color shirt made it a cinch to print, however, the alignment had to be just right so the center of the ring of trees did not look asymmetrical while wearing. Also, we were not using different sized screens for different sized shirts. This means that the print would look bigger on a small shirt, but smaller on a extra-large shirt. I was definitely worried about this prior to printing, but the results were just right. You can see some happy RIPT customers sporting their new tees on our facebook page.

One thing we learned was that the heat-press tags need to be printed while the shirt is INSIDE OUT. The front of the collar is just thick enough to keep the heat press from making contact with the heat-sensitive label.
We hope you enjoyed this inside look the creation of the first RIPT T-shirt. If you have any questions, feel free to ask them in the comments and I’ll do my best to give you a proper answer.
