June 8, 2009 was a special day for RIPT Apparel, it marked our very first t-shirt design being released into the wild and now we peer into our graveyard and the tombstones are now lined up 365 strong. And as one sun sets, another moon rises as we begin our second lap around this crazy race track. We’ve seen a lot of change and a lot of the same here at RIPT. “Change” coming in the form of Womens’ size t-shirts, new artists every day, and ever expanding methods of promotion for the RIPT brand. “The same” held in the fact that we never once deviated from our mantra set forth from Day One: 1 Shirt. 24 Hours. 365 Days Per Year.
To celebrate this first of hopefully many momentous occasion, we recruited some old friends to help us ring in our 2nd planetary revolution. Artists that took a chance on RIPT in our first week of business were invited back for a ceremonial retro week where we tried to recreate the magic of that time. Artists like Dave Perillo, Maxime Francout, Tang Yau Hoong, and Ryan Clark graciously returned for another print at the RIPT Apparel presses. It has been an absolute pleasure to have some artists return that we haven’t had since that very first week!
To check out their original prints at RIPT, see below:
Director of Operations Matt Ingleby had this to say about moving into the company’s second year: “I’m so happy that we’ve made it through year one. It’s a minor accomplishment but a landmark none the less. It’s been a lot of hard work but all worth it once you’ve seen your vision come to life. I’m looking forward to the future and all the improvements we have on the horizon.”
Now that RIPT has made it to Year 2, who knows what types of twists and turns we may take off of the beaten path. The graveyard is definitely getting full and the Ectoplastic Containment Unit we rented to shackle up the spooks didn’t come with more than a 90-day warranty. Some days seem to drag on for much longer than 24-hours, but it’s hard to tell if that’s just your mind playing tricks on your, or if the countdown really is going backwards. As we move towards 2011 and this century moves into its short adolescence, RIPT Apparel is reminded that everything stars with baby steps. This little tyke is growing up fast but it is well aware that it must learn to crawl before it can walk and eventually run.
We thank you all for 365 amazing days of support, enthusiasm, and general respect for what we have been trying to accomplish. Let’s hope for more and grow with us throught our sophomore year here at RIPT Apparel – home of the 24-hour $10 artistic graphic tee!

Hella great job guys. We are halfway through our first year, but no where near the status that you’ve gotten to in such a short time.
Good luck in the next year and years to come.
Cheers!

Will past shirts ever be Ript from the graveyard for a second go around?
Maybe you could open the graveyard once a month and if enough people order a certian design, say 100 people, then Bang, it’s raised form the dead for those 100 willing to pay up.
